01:02 AM rue_bed2: ok, well, in fail of everything else, I'v fixed a tool for work (needed a quick weld), got a bit done on my text editor, and maybe worked out that I have an iron issue.
01:10 AM rue_bed2: oh and I put the new stat in the fidge, tho I don't know if its making a difference
01:10 AM rue_bed2: got a bit of work done on some stuff for a battery spot welder
01:10 AM rue_bed2: no closer to a machine that I can move my mind into
04:58 PM Tom_L: test thread gage is ready for me to pick up
04:59 PM Tom_L: he made it a 2A thread which is most common. 3A would be a precision fit
06:07 PM rue_mohr: !!
06:08 PM Tom_L: so what about on your end?
06:09 PM rue_mohr: I'll try and contact him again
06:09 PM Tom_L: that bottle thread isn't a precision thread is it?
06:09 PM Tom_L: probably standard
06:10 PM Tom_L: aircraft use 3A alot more
06:24 PM rue_mohr: I'm not sure
06:30 PM Tom_L: i figured if i made another one i'd rerun the same part then start to modify the thread
06:30 PM Tom_L: that way i'll have a baseline
06:31 PM Tom_L: if i shortened it by .125 would that still be enough threads?
06:32 PM rue_mohr: its got way more than enough threads
06:32 PM Tom_L: that's 2 threads if i figured it right
06:32 PM rue_mohr: there must be only like 6 or 7 on the bottle
06:32 PM rue_mohr: I'm going to call him in a bit and see if I can go over
06:33 PM Tom_L: it'll be a day or two before i can go out to my bud's place
06:34 PM Tom_L: he went ahead and made it because he had another job for the lathe
06:37 PM Tom_L: i hate to make it too short... you can always cut the end off
