10:48 AM aandrew: nop slide?
10:55 AM aandrew: did you create a 6510 that does nothing but execute NOP for eternity too?
12:38 PM aandrew: well
12:38 PM aandrew: I have NO time to waste on this shit but I just sniffed the SPI traffic on my MyQ (garage door opener) gateway
12:38 PM aandrew: the gateway board is REALLY nice in that EVERY net comes down to the bottom layer in a LABELLED test point
12:38 PM aandrew: not label as in function, but every test point is TP##
12:38 PM aandrew: but I captured the entire radio setup, the polling, the response to an interrupt from the radio...
12:38 PM aandrew: I won't do it today but I will also dump both the flash chips on it, chances are the https certificate and shit is in them
12:38 PM aandrew: but I was really more interested in the radio setup anyway
12:39 PM aandrew: https://imgur.com/a/qXBCpId
12:39 PM aandrew: btw I *love* using 3d resin printer "ink" as glue. use a drop of CA to tack down what I want to glue, then use a syringe with a bit of ink in it to place the ink where I want, couple seconds with UV light and it's solid enough that I'm happy
12:40 PM aandrew: my only complaint is that it's kind of viscous
12:40 PM aandrew: so it tends to run away
06:43 PM rue_mohr: not using 6510
06:43 PM rue_mohr: shall I?
06:44 PM rue_mohr: cool
08:25 PM MoonyMoon: rue_mohr: !
08:34 PM rue_bed2: hey
08:36 PM MoonyMoon: Got a root shell
08:36 PM rue_bed2: ok
08:36 PM rue_bed2: in what?
08:36 PM rue_bed2: the switch?
08:36 PM MoonyMoon: nah, anyway
08:36 PM MoonyMoon: you going to james this weekend?
08:36 PM rue_bed2: probably, that guy needs help
08:37 PM MoonyMoon: you'll be my helper
08:37 PM rue_bed2: hah
08:37 PM MoonyMoon: hah all you want joe boy
08:38 PM rue_bed2: I'm just downing in my own corner
08:38 PM MoonyMoon: for real though I could use your help
08:38 PM rue_bed2: mhm
08:38 PM rue_bed2: he needs a roll of #12 to get the hwt line done
08:39 PM MoonyMoon: also I dont want anyone scabbing into my work
08:39 PM MoonyMoon: yes he does
08:39 PM rue_bed2: that panel needs to be closed up, before someone gets killed
08:39 PM rue_bed2: hwt line is the easiest thing to get out of hte way
08:39 PM MoonyMoon: thats what its all aboutr XD
08:39 PM MoonyMoon: yeah and stove
08:39 PM rue_bed2: yup
08:40 PM rue_bed2: he's waffling on the kitchen layout, which isn't good
08:40 PM MoonyMoon: yeah
08:40 PM MoonyMoon: well I kinda got it figured.
08:40 PM rue_bed2: ok
08:40 PM rue_bed2: he's gonna hang himself up in major changes
08:41 PM MoonyMoon: I need an upstaris man while I rooll in rat shit. someone who unserstands my lingo
08:41 PM rue_bed2: what I saw looked pretty good
08:41 PM rue_bed2: I'd like to see whats under the old part
08:41 PM rue_bed2: me and ma know someone who might know more about the history of hte building
08:42 PM MoonyMoon: dead rat, fiberglass too much sand and SHIT LOTS OF SHIT
08:42 PM rue_bed2: possibly back to beofre it was a house
08:42 PM rue_bed2: was there a dead one?
08:42 PM rue_bed2: wonder what they were eatin
08:42 PM MoonyMoon: yeah right by your face where you squeeze under a duct
08:43 PM rue_bed2: go around the duct?
08:43 PM rue_bed2: hmm
08:43 PM rue_bed2: or is it blocked by the chimney
08:43 PM rue_bed2: er it must be
08:43 PM MoonyMoon: you will find out
08:43 PM rue_bed2: its right up against the side
08:43 PM MoonyMoon: im off to make dinner, peace :)
08:44 PM rue_bed2: to make dinosaur?
08:44 PM * rue_bed2 squints
08:44 PM rue_bed2: ah
08:44 PM rue_bed2: ok, I need to make leds for testing fire alarms
10:57 PM rue_mohr: ok, well I have enough parts and time for 4 of the 8 I wanted to do
10:57 PM rue_mohr: I need a wire peeler machine
10:58 PM rue_mohr: er end stripper
10:58 PM rue_mohr: I need something that nicely strips the end of my wire
10:58 PM rue_mohr: s
11:00 PM aandrew: I used a nice german one years ago. it was an amazing thing
11:00 PM rue_mohr: what method did it use?
11:00 PM rue_mohr: heat blades twist...
11:02 PM aandrew: nope, it had a bunch of bearings that the wire moved through to straighten it, then some rubber tracks to carry the wire in to hte cutter
11:02 PM rue_mohr: did it just cut or strip?
11:03 PM aandrew: the cutter was a pair of blades that moved down to slice the insulation, then it'd shoot through the length of the wire you asked for, then cut, backed up, stripped the second and and shot it out the end
11:05 PM rue_mohr: oh it wasn't no audio, it was no autoplay
11:05 PM rue_mohr: ugh
11:05 PM aandrew: looked like this: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Computer-Wire-Stripping-Machine-Peeling-Cutting-4-Wheels-Automatic-0-1-8-mm/402423902865
11:05 PM rue_mohr: ah
11:06 PM rue_mohr: so, it only left one end stripped?
11:06 PM rue_mohr: er the other roller takes it up
11:06 PM aandrew: nope it would strip both
11:06 PM aandrew: there was no takeup
11:06 PM aandrew: it shot it out the end
11:06 PM aandrew: so you asked for 500 lengths of 6" wire with 3mm stripped on one side and 10mm stripped on the other, it'd do it
11:06 PM aandrew: and you could batch things too
11:07 PM aandrew: so you could say one set is 10 6", 3 3" and 1 11" and you want 100 batches and it'd do it
11:07 PM aandrew: that saved my ass on a contract
11:08 PM rue_mohr: yea thats what I need
11:08 PM aandrew: it would also be able to "partially strip" the ends if you wanted, so it wouldn't completely remove the insulation, it would cut and pull it open about 2mm so the insulation would stay on the end so it wouldn't fray
11:08 PM rue_mohr: did the stripping blade have to be matched up to the wire guage?
11:08 PM rue_mohr: oh I see, no
11:09 PM aandrew: no, the top and bottom blades were V shaped and it would only push down enough to cut the insulation (you told it what the gauge was and it could also take unusual insulation thicknesses
11:09 PM rue_mohr: yea, its like those stripper things
11:09 PM rue_mohr: hmmmmmmmm
11:10 PM rue_mohr: I wonder why it comes with a spare interrupter :/
11:12 PM rue_mohr: I keep forgetting how many twitter followers I had and I dont know if the number is going up or down latley
11:13 PM rue_mohr: I think its waffling, which is interesting
