12:50 AM rue_mohr: heh, trying to do stm32 code again
12:56 AM rue_mohr: ... been a while since I did something with one of these
12:56 AM rue_mohr: so.... amazingly.....laborious...
01:50 AM rue_bed: someone did the sleep of dooom
01:50 AM rue_bed: its awake now
07:22 PM rue_mohr: Rue runt eh bioler
09:27 PM aandrew: rue_mohr: I think your left and right hands are out of sync
09:59 PM aandrew: I got these tiny milling bits (I think they're end mills anyway) - 1.6mm down to 0.3mm
09:59 PM aandrew: you must have to take super super super light passes with those smaller ones
09:59 PM aandrew: they seem kind of long for milling htough
10:11 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/etching/mills2.jpg
10:11 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/etching/mills1.jpg
10:19 PM rue_shop3: the calcs dont seem to work for bits of those sizes
10:35 PM Tom_L: sfm is still accurate
10:36 PM Tom_L: just alot smaller due to the small diameter
10:39 PM Tom_L: a 2 flute .250 EM @ 3500rpm with a chip load of .001 has a sfm of 229 so scale that down for that tiny diameter
10:39 PM Tom_L: you will be moving alot slower
10:40 PM Tom_L: and you will want to lighten the chip load some too
