03:17 AM rue_shop3: Etch the piece of aluminum can in a 1:3 muriatic acid to hydrogen peroxide solution
03:24 AM rue_shop3: 1am, ok, lets get this night started
03:38 AM rue_shop3: rue_mohr, get those tommorow
04:07 AM Tom_L: yeah i haven't been this busy in a while either
04:51 AM rue_shop3: it sounded like it was going to slow down for you
10:16 AM Tom_L: after the 1st it's been crazy
01:29 PM rue_mohr: polprog, yea, I had a few caps blow up after redoing things
01:29 PM rue_mohr: when I did a reverse engineer, I realized the silkscreen was backwards for the cap
01:30 PM rue_mohr: so I took to watching for it when redoing caps, and saw it a few other times
01:42 PM rue_mohr: oh what were my weekend goals?
01:43 PM rue_mohr: wait it doesn't work like that
01:43 PM rue_mohr: on the weekend I generate week goals
01:43 PM rue_mohr: I think last week I got a bit further than I set out to
01:58 PM polprog: oh so you meant that
01:58 PM polprog: nah these are all output rail caps so its pretty clear where the - goes
01:59 PM polprog: ill get some caps on the market tomorrow
01:59 PM polprog: i should be watching the mech lectures
01:59 PM polprog: so as not to rush it later
02:22 PM rue_mohr: what are they doing in mech now?
02:34 PM polprog: i think in this lecture and excercises we will be solving the schrodingers equation
02:34 PM polprog: last time we had creation and anihhilnation operators
02:35 PM polprog: basically applied sorcery
02:35 PM polprog: which is super cool
02:35 PM rue_mohr: hmm
02:35 PM rue_mohr: I was pretty impressed that mrdata linked the constant for the filter to phi
02:35 PM rue_mohr: none of my schooling included phi
02:36 PM rue_mohr: and the equation works perfectly
03:18 PM Tom_L: nice when a plan comes together
03:49 PM rue_mohr: Etch the piece of aluminum can in a 1:3 muriatic acid to hydrogen peroxide solution
03:50 PM rue_mohr: building store and drug store
04:27 PM rue_mohr: ok, I got milk and muriatic acid
04:42 PM Tom_L: odd combination
04:43 PM Tom_L: don't drink the wrong one
04:43 PM rue_mohr: want to try some aluminum etching
06:58 PM aandrew: I’ve seen this before, but rue_mohr should make his own: https://shop.evilmadscientist.com/productsmenu/652
07:45 PM rue_mohr: heh
07:48 PM Tom_L: does etching aluminum leave a jagged edge?
07:50 PM rue_mohr: not sure yet
09:02 PM aandrew: so is the milk related to this etching adventure, or were you just thirsty?
09:04 PM rue_mohr: just needed more milk
09:16 PM Tom_L: for the tea
09:34 PM rue_mohr: yup
10:17 PM rue_mohr: ok, going to a buddys place, they re-arranged their networking gear and nothing works anymore
10:18 PM rue_mohr: I think they made sure every port was connected to something
10:21 PM Tom_L: hah
10:33 PM aandrew: heh
