12:23 PM rue_mohr: special alarm on garbage day
12:26 PM polprog: why am i not surprised you are using cron for your alarm
12:26 PM polprog: does it just beep the speaker or something?
12:43 PM aandrew: connected to a contactor that makes a 1/4hp motor rotate his bed 90 degrees and pour him out on to the floor

12:45 PM rue_mohr: heh
12:45 PM rue_mohr: I dont know if the timing of the tea machine should be in there too
12:45 PM rue_mohr: or if it should have a schedule built into itself
12:45 PM rue_mohr: its web-controllable now
12:45 PM rue_mohr: http://192.168.8.199/?TEA=480

12:46 PM rue_mohr: I can just throw a wget into the cron jobs
01:16 PM polprog: one day you will break a leg or something
01:16 PM polprog: and noone will come to help you
01:16 PM polprog: because they can't tell if you are ok, since the house takes care of itself :V
01:18 PM polprog: heh. just got an email that the EE basics course will be done completely remotely, we will get kits mailed as soon as the call for tender closes, and we will work in pairs
01:18 PM polprog: at home
01:19 PM polprog: we have peple who live all over the country, i wonder how they manage to meet in pairs for two hours every week
01:19 PM polprog: all the other classes are also remote so far, so they have no reason to not sit at home with a laptop
01:38 PM Tom_L: up to the student to figure out
01:38 PM Tom_L: maybe they'll give you a mileage steipend
02:43 PM rue_mohr: I managed to take picture while the sun is still out!

02:58 PM rue_mohr: while it sets up I'll work on the power supply for a bit
03:06 PM Tom_L: rather surprised you're up while the sun is still out :D
03:06 PM rue_mohr: I didn't sleep long
03:06 PM Tom_L: starting to look good
03:06 PM rue_mohr: I think skipping supper helped

03:07 PM rue_mohr: tho they will be pretty protected
03:07 PM Tom_L: what sort of visitor notification?

03:11 PM Tom_L: replaceable tops
03:12 PM Tom_L: jack o lantern would be fitting now
03:12 PM rue_mohr: yea they will be heavy and just sit there
03:12 PM rue_mohr: hah
03:12 PM rue_mohr: set the rgb to orange
03:13 PM rue_mohr: probably with a good overhang and a few leds under the edge

03:14 PM rue_mohr: gargoyle or something

03:34 PM rue_mohr: maybe a broomstick will run, probably get a huge majority
03:35 PM polprog: someone said canada must be feeling like living above a meth lab
03:36 PM polprog: maybe his dream of being a president till the end of his life will come true
03:36 PM rue_mohr: it would be nice if we had a broomstick to vote for
03:36 PM Tom_L: i wouldn't wish that on anybody just because i didn't like em

10:45 PM rue_mohr: aluminum, magnesium, sodium, LOTS more heat
11:08 PM rue_mohr: so, I need a 6 channel debouncer
