01:27 AM rue_mohr: W T F
01:27 AM rue_mohr: I need that flipping laptop
01:32 AM rue_bed2: damnit
01:32 AM rue_bed2: that puts me behind too
01:32 AM rue_bed2: does everything to do wiht this tech school have to be a complete nightmare??????
01:33 AM rue_bed2: tommorowo I will have to try again

01:34 AM rue_bed2: damnit
01:34 AM rue_bed2: I needed that to be done
05:19 AM Tom_itx: dealing with tech schools here is no different
05:25 AM polprog: heh, we are to sign up for the language classes today for th euni
05:26 AM polprog: the enrollment starts at 12:00 via a web application
05:26 AM polprog: it's 12:25, the servers are still down or throwing timeouts
05:27 AM polprog: i guess thats what happens when you have thousands of people trying to log in at once
05:30 AM Tom_itx: that happened here several times with the covid unemployment stuff
05:32 AM polprog: this happens here every semester as far as i can tell
05:42 AM Tom_itx is now known as Tom_L
02:25 PM aandrew: rue_mohr> I just find it amusing how many ways there are to use the thing
02:25 PM aandrew: what thing is that, rue_mohr
02:27 PM aandrew: there, I put about 50 videos from Samm Sheperd on my plex server, along with a bunch from Experimental Airlines on foamboard construction of wings and so on
02:27 PM aandrew: then I went through and sorted the 140-some-odd Howard Johnson high speed digital design lectures
02:27 PM aandrew: I put them in my plex server as tv shows so I could organize them by "seasons", seems to work ok
03:40 PM aandrew: well
03:40 PM aandrew: the 10 CDR/DVDRs I have don't have what I want on them, so now I get to go through the 20ish 3.5" and 2.5" IDE drives to see what's there
03:40 PM aandrew: I have a feeling I should probably be ready to dump whatever is on them on to a fresh drive before they die (if they're not already dead)
03:41 PM aandrew: then my son can take apart the dead ones and I can keep the cores for melting down
03:42 PM aandrew: I did find some *ancient* dos utilities and old program code and apps on the CDs I found though
03:42 PM aandrew: wonder if I should upload that shit ot the internet archive so I don't have to keep them around
03:47 PM reversedelta: yes, please do! someone else will probably find it useful.
04:11 PM Tom_L: finished up the e-stop circuit a bit ago
04:51 PM polprog: hmm, i expected the hot air station to come today
04:52 PM polprog: ill have to go to the pharmacy to get some needles for the paste

04:53 PM polprog: please select all squared that contain traffic lights while you got our attention
04:53 PM polprog: :)
04:53 PM polprog: squares*
04:54 PM Tom_L: pharmacy needles may be too small
04:54 PM polprog: i checked the gauges, gonna look for gauge 10 or wider
04:55 PM polprog: i tried gauge 19, was too small
04:56 PM polprog: 10G is 2.6mm inner, should be good
04:57 PM reversedelta: Hello, all. I'm just a garf-fan who's returning to Freenode after a long time.
