12:07 AM rue_mohr: yea, 96 square feet of other peopels storage
12:22 AM aandrew: 96 square feet of other's storage?
12:23 AM aandrew: you opening a micro-scale u-store facility?
12:31 AM rue_shop1: darn near
03:05 AM rue_bed: rue_mohr, turn the speed back down on the cart
04:02 AM polprog: i think the thing went well
04:02 AM polprog: ive finished it 30 mins before the end time
04:03 AM polprog: rue_bed: what's the shed rue_mohr built for?
09:07 AM rue_mohr: storing other peoples stuff
09:08 AM rue_mohr: opposed to it all being in my shop and basement
10:12 AM polprog: oh, nice
11:53 AM polprog: i got 4.5 grade on physics
11:53 AM polprog: ^_^
12:44 PM Tom_L: 5 must be the best?
01:25 PM polprog: yeah
04:38 PM MoonyMoon: rue_mohr: Here you go tough guy ;) https://paste.debian.net/1154416/
04:40 PM polprog: hey, thats a nice piece of code
04:40 PM * polprog stealz
04:41 PM MoonyMoon: thanks dude
04:42 PM MoonyMoon: you go ahead I GPL it bud ;)
04:42 PM polprog: so... that makes a connection between an inet socket and a character device right?
04:42 PM MoonyMoon: yeah
04:42 PM polprog: useful snippet
04:42 PM polprog: i wanted to implement something like that in a long time but on kernel level
04:43 PM MoonyMoon: do tell, why on kernel level?
04:43 PM polprog: maybe not entirely kernel level but i was thinking about implementing a serial loopback device
04:44 PM MoonyMoon: oh, cool
04:44 PM MoonyMoon: I have not yet done linux kernel driver stuff side from kprintf :P
04:45 PM polprog: i dont really remember but i thought it would be cool to be able to make a "virtual" serial port device that, for example, outputs to a telnet session or one of these industrial serial-ethernet converters
04:45 PM polprog: MOXA is one brand
04:45 PM polprog: or to be able to run a program on one host, and "connect" a virtual serial port on that host to a real one on the other host
04:46 PM polprog: i also miss something that was supposedly under older windows versions, where you could snoop on a COM port
04:46 PM polprog: that would be useful for debugging
04:46 PM MoonyMoon: sounds like
04:47 PM MoonyMoon: you could acvive this stuff with pipes(unix) and some wires too thoyugh hay?
04:47 PM polprog: probably
04:48 PM polprog: id love to get the 6-port box working, just need to find a hard disk..
04:48 PM polprog: i could maybe write a small c program that copies from one serial port to the other
04:48 PM polprog: and back
04:50 PM MoonyMoon: sounds like kinky science :)
04:52 PM MoonyMoon: im going to toddle off now, fare thee well wherever thee may fair
04:52 PM polprog: goodnight
08:49 PM rue_mohr: ok I got a shed to try and get a bit more done on
08:49 PM rue_mohr: MoonyMoon, you gonna drop in?
10:18 PM rue_mohr: ah,
10:18 PM rue_mohr: MoonyMoon, cool
