12:44 AM rue_mohr: I cant measure it
12:49 AM rue_mohr: its a curvy thing
06:24 AM Tom_L: point to point
06:24 AM Tom_L: yes you can
07:29 AM Tom_L: measure the inside point to point and the outside point to point
08:28 AM rue_mohr: but I cant measure the inside so I cant know how far out I am
12:07 PM Tom_L: you don't have a pair of calipers?
04:07 PM rue_mohr: wont work on curves
05:02 PM Tom_L: i can change both by say .005" and try again?
05:03 PM Tom_L: or should i change it more?
06:33 PM Tom_L: ok
06:33 PM Tom_L: i have another file
06:35 PM Tom_L: i took .006" of both sides of the wall
06:35 PM Tom_L: maybe too much?
07:02 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/rue/coupler/coupler1a.txt
07:02 PM Tom_L: dry run that then try it
07:38 PM rue_mohr: your files cause my spooler a handshaking leak
07:38 PM rue_mohr: not sure how yet
07:41 PM Tom_L: you ran one though didn't you?
07:42 PM Tom_L: shouldn't be anything illegal in it for grbl
08:58 PM rue_mohr: some of the lines contain commands that give back to "ok" strings from grbl
08:58 PM rue_mohr: the handshaking of my spooler depends on one OK per line
08:59 PM Tom_L: you don't know what it needs?
09:00 PM Tom_L: surely it doesn't need a movement command per line?
09:00 PM Tom_L: like G1 G2 G3 with x y coordinates instead of just the coordinates?
10:00 PM rue_mohr: I dont know whats causing it
10:00 PM rue_mohr: there are only a few of them, but they build up
10:01 PM Tom_L: well if you can figure it out, i can fix it
10:02 PM Tom_L: we'll make a ' rue_mohr ' post
10:02 PM Tom_L: or grbl
10:03 PM rue_mohr: np, just made another wall for the shed
10:03 PM Tom_L: if you can get that to work, it should be about .006" to the better on both sides
10:03 PM Tom_L: no mail yet?
10:03 PM rue_mohr: heh, this is canada
10:03 PM Tom_L: i was thinking a regular letter might be quicker
10:34 PM Tom_L: i wonder if it needs a constant number of decimal places
10:35 PM Tom_L: some lines display abbreviated decimals if they are 0
10:35 PM Tom_L: i can fix it to 3 or 4 etc if i need to
10:36 PM Tom_L: lines don't display an axis if it's unchanged too. i can also repeat those if needed
10:36 PM Tom_L: as well as the Gcode every line
10:37 PM Tom_L: it shouldn't need any of those but i dunno
10:38 PM Tom_L: any of those will increase the file size which will slow the stream down
10:41 PM Tom_L: do the linear moves allow for changes in all 3 axis? look at line N405-N408 for an example of that
10:42 PM Tom_L: those are the angular ramp moves
10:44 PM Tom_L: i started a GRBL post we can try to fix a few things if you want
10:55 PM rue_mohr: ok, I'm going to go try to plug in the network cord *again*
10:55 PM rue_mohr: damn desk
11:30 PM rue_shop2: ok, I got the network cable in, bumped the UPS power bar tho
11:33 PM aandrew: hm, possible new contract
11:33 PM aandrew: should be a fun one
11:35 PM aandrew: https://www.islainstruments.com/product/kordbot/ <-- clean up firmware and implement new features on that
11:47 PM aandrew: I don't remember if I've shared this here: https://ludens.cl/Electron/lmeter/lmeter.html
