12:51 AM polprog: also, measured that going to sleep at 1:30 makes it bearable to get up at 7:30
12:58 AM rue_mohr: ... your back up?
12:58 AM rue_mohr: huh
12:58 AM rue_mohr: the button is sticking
12:59 AM rue_mohr: it definitly has to be in to drop the heads, but their not always dropping
12:59 AM rue_mohr: and it sounds like the track motor has an issue
12:59 AM rue_mohr: could be corrosion :S
12:59 AM rue_mohr: it booted part of DOS in a more successfull attempy
01:03 AM polprog: nice
01:03 AM polprog: now you need a 720k version of the dos utility floppy
01:03 AM rue_mohr: I wont be able to get to the hard drive if I cant find a config disk
01:03 AM rue_mohr: heh, I can do it
01:03 AM polprog: i love the logo on the keyboard
01:03 AM rue_mohr: ....k
01:05 AM rue_mohr: I hope it doesn't get to 512, that one was hard enough to get out of the attic
01:05 AM polprog: https://archive.org/details/CompaqPortableDiagnosticDisk
01:05 AM rue_mohr: they have no bios eh? so you need the config disk to change the settings
01:05 AM rue_mohr: it doesn't surprise me
01:06 AM rue_mohr: you see that thing has over 2M of memory in it eh?
01:21 AM polprog: oh wow
01:22 AM polprog: was about to aak
01:22 AM polprog: ask*
01:24 AM rue_mohr: enough for 3.1 for sure
02:36 AM polprog: sure
02:44 AM zhanx: 17 hours later, print is looking good, only 28% left to go!
06:22 PM Tom_itx is now known as Tom_L
06:43 PM rue_mohr: zhanx, did it work?
07:01 PM rue_mohr: I'v rewritten the software, I should be able to operate the relay card
08:33 PM Tom_L: do you know of a gnome screen grabber?
08:33 PM Tom_L: full or pick area
08:38 PM Tom_L: found it.
08:50 PM Tom_L: pi4 twists the way things work

09:01 PM aandrew: bleh. contract at robotics company is over next week
09:01 PM aandrew: don't have the budget to extend at this time
09:05 PM rue_bed: what do they do?
09:05 PM rue_bed: install/program arm?
09:05 PM rue_bed: rig it?
09:25 PM aandrew: rue_bed: hm?
09:32 PM rue_bed: what does the robotics company do?
10:22 PM aandrew: oh
10:22 PM aandrew: clearpath
10:22 PM aandrew: their big thing (otto robotics) is warehouse robots that haul things around
10:22 PM rue_shop1: k
10:23 PM rue_shop1: so they supply it and give you the manual or get it working for ya
10:23 PM aandrew: no no
10:24 PM aandrew: I'm working on some safety critical software for them that runs on the board that drives the motors
10:24 PM aandrew: I've got one of the boards in my basement hooked up and faked out
10:27 PM aandrew: the actual robot has an embedded PC doing all the high level stuff, some LIDARs for doing the safety stuff, and then the low level boards for doing the motor drive and so on
10:35 PM rue_shop1: Elons 'dumb' robot? :)
10:41 PM aandrew: nah these are kind of cool
11:04 PM rue_shop1: wtf
11:04 PM rue_shop1: this is being the most un-coopertive project
11:08 PM aandrew: the VFD?
