01:46 AM rue_bed: ok, well
01:51 AM rue_bed: I put togethor a transistor boost converter for lighting up a neon bulb
01:51 AM rue_bed: aside from that I slept
02:51 AM polprog: good morning
02:53 AM polprog: https://polprog.net/rozne1/ircjunk/cradleservo/IMG_0311.png
02:53 AM polprog: these are the rest of the interruptors i have
02:54 AM polprog: uni stuff made quite a backlog... not good
03:45 AM polprog: https://i1.jbzd.com.pl/contents/2020/03/M7895UwcQxTN6ul7MKyjrTZ4hsevMeXs.mp4 hehe
07:25 AM Tom_L: :)
08:04 AM polprog: usb floppy drive came
08:17 AM rue_bed: ouch, those are expensive!
08:18 AM rue_bed: ok, 3 normal interrupters and a 2 channel logic one
08:18 AM rue_bed: or
08:18 AM rue_bed: how many of those are 2+3 pins?
10:18 AM polprog: rue_mohr: three
10:19 AM polprog: the two channel logic one (2+4) is the one thru which the encoder strip went
10:19 AM polprog: im testing your line follower frontent with a BC547
10:34 AM polprog: ok, this is weird
10:34 AM polprog: it sems to work
10:36 AM polprog: but it doesnt work on the graticule. i mean best case scenario was barely visible wiggling on the scope with shining the led flashlight on the sensor directly
10:36 AM polprog: i mean
10:36 AM polprog: when its shined direcly at the sensor it goes 0-5V
10:37 AM polprog: but when the sensor is looking at the graticule then it doesnt seem to change, and shining the flashlight at the graticule makes it change the signal by about .5V
10:37 AM polprog: its stuck at 5V no matter what
10:39 AM polprog: >how should i send you the programming assignment to grade
10:40 AM polprog: >I think it's best to make a onedrive folder and share it with me, put the files in a folder "Assignment 01"
10:40 AM polprog: what the f***
10:42 AM polprog: thats all that comes to "advanced programming class"
10:42 AM polprog: we're writing libc-C, but compiling with g++ since it's C++
10:43 AM polprog: C++ but we are using malloc, structs, unions, printf (oh yes im waiting for him to give me negative points for not using puts() to print a string with no params. Despite the compiler replacing my printf with puts if possible)
11:26 AM polprog: hmm
11:27 AM polprog: this phototransistor seems to be extremely insensitive
11:27 AM polprog: at this point i have a darlington pair with 1M on the emitter and that is failing if my lamp is shining on the graticule
11:28 AM polprog: i could have two identical sensors, one comparing always shite
11:28 AM polprog: white*
11:28 AM polprog: sorry
11:32 AM polprog: https://polprog.net/rozne1/ircjunk/cradleservo/frontend3.png
11:33 AM polprog: https://polprog.net/rozne1/ircjunk/cradleservo/PRINT_06.png
11:34 AM polprog: VCC noise ;/ https://polprog.net/rozne1/ircjunk/cradleservo/PRINT_05.png
11:34 AM polprog: this is gonna be a long project but i like it
11:35 AM polprog: bbl
03:55 PM polprog: this guy cant open a targz
03:55 PM polprog: he wants to view cpp files using some onedrive viewer thingy
03:55 PM polprog: he;s not even gonna run it
03:55 PM polprog: what a
04:06 PM polprog: i need a beer
04:06 PM polprog: mind you
04:06 PM polprog: this is not advanced class
04:06 PM polprog: this is more than advanced. 4 students
04:07 PM polprog: stated explicitly, "C++11"
04:08 PM polprog: c++11 is not hacking a variable width array with realloc in a case that asks for a linked list you mupper
04:08 PM polprog: muppet*
08:08 PM rue_mohr: polprog, you have to get the transistor the right way around
08:08 PM rue_mohr: an the 22k sets the contrast
08:10 PM rue_mohr: no you need the 22k
