02:17 AM rue_mohr: TOMMOROW: GET TEA MACHINE WORKING
03:29 AM rue_mohr: ok I coded the filter profiler to accept a freq for the reading to be done
06:58 PM tiwake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cHk3S_eubI&feature=youtu.be
06:59 PM tiwake: Body Language: Trump Vs Military–Industrial Complex
06:59 PM tiwake: that person who is doing body language readings is insanely good
08:30 PM rue_mohr: k
08:31 PM rue_mohr: zhanx, Tom_L playing with the webserver in the new tea machine
08:31 PM rue_mohr: its in the kitchen
08:31 PM rue_mohr: its kinda off uploading firmware via wifi to a teamaker in the kitchen
08:31 PM zhanx: what?
08:31 PM rue_mohr: yea
08:31 PM rue_mohr: the old teamaker kicked the bucket
08:32 PM rue_mohr: when you pour in water, it all goes out the bottom
08:32 PM rue_mohr: so I took it as motivation to get that wifi one on its feet
08:32 PM rue_mohr: Hello World 9!
08:32 PM rue_mohr: Tea is ON
08:32 PM rue_mohr: I need to add buttons and stuff to its webpage
08:32 PM rue_mohr: http://192.168.8.199/?TEA=on
08:32 PM zhanx: ok, I left this morning, and normally I hook the roll of tape on the motor for z axis, some how it fell and ruined the print as it lodged in the y axis
08:33 PM rue_mohr: !!!!
08:33 PM rue_mohr: I do the same thing, and that has never happened
08:33 PM zhanx: and i clicked that like i could open it even after read the address
08:33 PM Tom_L: :)
08:33 PM zhanx: rue_mohr, it was a freak accident who knows
08:35 PM rue_mohr: hahah
08:35 PM rue_mohr: good thing I use an oddball network address eh?
08:35 PM rue_mohr: social hacking
08:36 PM rue_mohr: hahaha
08:37 PM * zhanx would be like going to work, will order up rue's tea before i leave
08:38 PM rue_mohr: hey, in your esp8266 travels, did you ever store files on them?
08:41 PM rue_mohr: zhanx, you here?
08:42 PM zhanx: nope
08:43 PM zhanx: never thought to
08:43 PM * zhanx is watching football so you know
08:43 PM rue_mohr: hmm I know there is a way
08:43 PM rue_mohr: so, I need to measure the duty of the element
08:43 PM rue_mohr: when I know the numbers, I'll give away how much tea is in the machine
08:43 PM rue_mohr: I have an input that tells me if the element is on or off
08:44 PM rue_mohr: I'm thinking of noting the time in millis when it turns on,
08:44 PM rue_mohr: noting when it turns off as a seperate var
08:44 PM rue_mohr: and then do the math the next time it turns on
09:06 PM rue_mohr: I put a 2 hours timeout on the teamaker, do you think that will be annoying?
09:20 PM zhanx: should be fine
09:25 PM rue_mohr: interesting, max duty seems to be 47%
09:25 PM rue_mohr: my method for duty is out tho
09:26 PM rue_mohr: it wont work for 100%
09:26 PM rue_mohr: so I should get data on its cycle time and rework a bit
09:44 PM zhanx: how hot you making it
09:45 PM rue_mohr: its an internal thermostat
09:45 PM rue_mohr: I'm just monitoring it
09:46 PM rue_mohr: the idea is that when it dries up the duty will go REALLY low
09:46 PM rue_mohr: then I can use that as an auto-off
09:46 PM rue_mohr: casue, when I ask the teapot to make tea, generally the only time I'm ok with it turning off is when there is no tea left
10:21 PM zhanx: k, what about bitterness?
10:22 PM rue_mohr: perkolated
10:22 PM rue_mohr: it doesn't
10:22 PM rue_mohr: I been doing it for so long I forgot when I had to make some on the store during a power outage
10:22 PM rue_mohr: wow
10:22 PM rue_mohr: sharp reminder to pull the bags
10:23 PM rue_mohr: ok 2 hours is piffle
10:23 PM rue_mohr: that has to go up
10:23 PM rue_mohr: try 4 for a while
