09:49 PM Tom_L: i think he was kinda taken back. 6 3 axis cnc mills all with pallet changers and a conveyor that is programmed to take the tombstone with the part loaded on it from the 'loading station' to the proper cnc and automatically load it and run the part
09:49 PM zhanx: so get this Tom_L , I had a "emergency call out" aka i was 2.5 hours away and it was at 4 pm

09:49 PM Tom_L: most of the parts are loaded with a 4 ton crane
09:49 PM zhanx: I get there, and the place is an internet service provider

09:49 PM zhanx: I was like wtf? No one there knew how to hot swap a drive and repopulate the raid
09:49 PM zhanx: i was like let me grab my laptop and console cable and I got asked what a console cable was. I was very confused
09:51 PM zhanx: tools built in, you can look at the raid array and see which drive is in which status
09:51 PM Tom_L: i figured as much. i don't run raid here
09:52 PM Tom_L: how long does it take to repopulate the new drive?
09:53 PM zhanx: its simple ready, you check your status, and bays for the drive etc, swap it issue some commands and repopulate and this was a 1tb drive about 750gig full, should be done sometime tomorrow
09:54 PM zhanx: dual raid 5 with back up on the second raid 5 of the first for fall back
09:54 PM zhanx: so 4TB mirrored to 4tb as a just in case and no they don't do backups also
