12:11 AM rue_: keyboard, need to bump up priority of making a new keybaord
12:16 AM rue_: the jukebox uses a usb key to store the music, the idea was that it would be faster to rebuild the jukebox if the music fs was detachable
12:16 AM rue_: but I think its been going corrupt

12:17 AM zhanx: clock is drifting\

08:58 AM rue_: hmm
04:45 PM zhanx: rue_, ok printer is all reset and glued up with wood glue. I am got a fan on it to help it dry out now
04:46 PM zhanx: going to wait till its all setup (for the glue) and then recalibrate it again

08:06 PM rue_shop4: http://www.zukioffroad.com/Tech_Library/images/diagrams/samurai_wiring_diagram.JPG
09:09 PM zhanx: ok rue_bed issue my z layer height is wrong
09:09 PM zhanx: its too compressed and dragging
09:10 PM rue_: hu?
09:10 PM rue_: is it level? it'll bind if it gets off too much
09:11 PM rue_: oh AND wwatch the Z couplers!
09:11 PM zhanx: its level but
09:11 PM rue_: if they start slipping it'll be mess
09:11 PM zhanx: i thing the 72
09:11 PM zhanx: is off
09:11 PM rue_: the scale is out?
09:11 PM rue_: what microstep are you using?
09:11 PM rue_: that threaded rod are you using
09:11 PM zhanx: extrusion multiplier is set at 72
09:12 PM rue_: no
09:12 PM rue_: the Z or the extruder?
09:12 PM zhanx: 5/16 rod and hwat ever step you had me step it too with 2 jumpers
09:12 PM rue_: hmm
09:12 PM rue_: if you tell it to go up 10mm does it?
09:14 PM zhanx: i think my z stop slipped
09:14 PM rue_: how did you do it
09:14 PM rue_: I think I made all custom ones
09:14 PM zhanx: hold on get filament hanging out
09:18 PM zhanx: i am close on the bed only a few tho out
09:18 PM zhanx: i am getting a mic tomorrow to measure the travel
09:47 PM zhanx: rue from that email i sent you, its printing right, but the layer height is off
10:19 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/Skate_truck/Skate_Truck4.jpg
10:20 PM Tom_L: ran all the way thru P1 P2 P3 proven out so far
10:20 PM Tom_L: the profile works i know just ran out of time
10:27 PM zhanx: ok printer coming up to temp again
10:27 PM zhanx: last time my extruder died
10:36 PM rue_shop3: zhanx, if you have a regular ruler you can get it close enough
10:36 PM rue_shop3: you used 5/16 right?
10:37 PM rue_shop3: the nozzel needs to be zerod a 'magic' amount off the bed
10:45 PM zhanx: nozzel just clogged on me and jumped the hobbled bolt
10:45 PM zhanx: the raft i was printing was working great till that
10:46 PM rue_shop3: not enough extruder cooling
10:49 PM zhanx: frustrated
10:49 PM furrywolf: 3d printers suck.
11:00 PM rue_shop3: zhanx, you didn't let me help ya
11:01 PM rue_shop3: I have almost no problems with my 3 printers
11:02 PM rue_shop3: most of the problems are related to letting them sit too long, and the dust that builds up in the shop, and the filament snapping from stress*time
11:03 PM furrywolf: I've been consistently unimpressed by the output product from home 3d printers. heh.
11:04 PM zhanx: rue_shop3, i moved the print so i can stand over it.
11:04 PM zhanx: furrywolf, i doesn't help i have hands like baseball mitts and i am playing with m3 screws
11:05 PM furrywolf: heh, I have big paws too.
11:07 PM zhanx: rue makes fun of me for breaking lots of stuff by mistake
11:07 PM zhanx: 3d printer is about to get a boot
11:12 PM zhanx: rue i added a desktop fan to my cooling
11:21 PM zhanx: furrywolf, see when you really needs rue's help, he sleeps :D
11:23 PM furrywolf: heh
11:23 PM furrywolf: he seems very cat-like in that respect.
11:23 PM furrywolf: awake at hours normal people are asleep, and asleep when needed. :)
11:29 PM furrywolf: what. the. fuck. I think I've broken "find".
11:32 PM furrywolf: find is grouping -or wrong somehow
11:33 PM * furrywolf adds parens to force find not to group the actions at the end of the line as part of the conditions
11:38 PM furrywolf: if you do, say, find ./ -iname \*.foo -or -iname \*.bar -print... it will only print .bars but not .foos, as it helpfully decides the -or should eat the action as well as the conditions...
11:40 PM furrywolf: I mean, it's obvious what it's doing, and it's obvious why it's doing it, but it's sure not obvious why someone decided this is what it should do. lol
11:52 PM zhanx: screw it this print is gonna run to the end
11:55 PM rue_shop4: no I'm working on the ultimate tea machine
11:55 PM rue_shop4: the 'element on' signal was a pita to figure out
11:57 PM rue_: just use grep?
11:58 PM rue_: zhanx, ok, so, issues: - bolts are comming loose
11:58 PM rue_: - z scale may not be correct?
11:58 PM rue_: and ?
11:59 PM zhanx: output on extruder pauses duering print
