12:00 AM rue_bed: I cant find an image depicting what I'm doing
12:03 AM zhanx: rue_bed: we eat about 40 pounds of rice in this house a month
12:03 AM katsmeow: lift the infeed chute, and some point the rice will rebell and refuse to flow uphill
12:03 AM rue_bed: yes, thats part of how mine works katsmeow
12:03 AM zhanx: grub screw
12:03 AM rue_bed: zhanx, 18kg in 3? mo?
12:03 AM zhanx: turn it out uphill till the weight
12:03 AM rue_bed: if you fill a pop bottle with rice, hold it 1/2" over a counter and turn on gravity, the rice will form a pile that blocks the inlet of the bottle
12:03 AM rue_bed: if the surface its over moves, it forms a constant width line
12:03 AM zhanx: grub screw
12:04 AM rue_bed: so, I made the line into a circle, and move it the reuired distance to get my volume
12:05 AM katsmeow: if you lift the bottle 6ft over a statonary conveyor belt, the rice willnot stop till you have toomuch rice on thebelt, what's your point?
12:05 AM rue_bed: I have a method I can build, just need to put some time into it
12:14 AM zhanx: ok done filing the part for tonight
12:15 AM zhanx: think my extrude will be done tomorow
12:15 AM katsmeow: if rue, if the measuring capped pipe and the bottle opening are all above the same chute, any rice trappedin the slide valve that closes the bottle will fall into the shute next timeit cycles, and be an extremely small part of tomorrow's dinner
12:27 AM katsmeow: the room being idle is in fact data quantifying the amount of communication
12:59 AM katsmeow: erg
01:36 AM * katsmeow suggests a clamshell cut-off 1/8 inch under the bottle opening, such that the closed clamshell upper edges are above the rim of the opening, and the clamshells are mismatched to enable complete closure movement even with a rice kernal between the closure edges
01:37 AM katsmeow: when the clamshell opens, the rice in the clamshell is dropepd into the chute or measuring tilt-a-pipe
01:39 AM * katsmeow looks like a human holding a "USBISP AVR 10 Pin ISP USB Programmer 3.3V/5V 51 ATMEGA8 + Downloader Cable"
