10:18 AM katsmeow: what if one were to have a fat tube with a flange on the end that happened to be bigger in all dimensions than a lathe chuck and head bearings,,,,
10:19 AM katsmeow: made a way to flatten the outside face of the flange, center as well as possible on the backof the chuck, bolt as appropriate, then drill and pin a few times to lock into a repeatableposition forever
10:20 AM katsmeow: then mount any shaft into bearings, chuck the chuck-flange-tube assy to it, and turn the shaft sticking off the back of the chuck for the head bearings

08:39 PM * katsmeow wouldlike to point out that using 20 pcs of 3300ufd to make 4 banks of 66,000ufd , and those configured to make a 2ph switcher across a 48v battery bank, two set of caps down (to -48v) and two up (to +48 above the batteries) ....
08:40 PM katsmeow: will give you 144v, which you can down regulate to 120vdc for lites and some power tools

08:41 PM katsmeow: AND switcering 2ph at 5khz you can pull 50amps with only 0.3w dissipation per capacitor (untested)
