[00:04:26] <rue_shop> The_Jester_,
[01:13:29] <TELunus> zlog
[02:14:59] <rue_house> Jymmm, na, I couldn't shovel the fuel in fast enough
[02:15:02] <rue_house> TELunus, whats up?
[02:15:34] <TELunus> Not much. Been playing with FreeBSD lately.
[02:15:44] <rue_house> why would you do that?
[02:15:59] <TELunus> True unix :p
[02:16:08] <rue_house> hah
[02:16:08] <rue_house> k
[02:16:21] <TELunus> Also I don't like copy-left.
[02:16:46] <TELunus> It turns out their ports system is really cool.
[02:16:59] <rue_house> you wanna sell what you cahnge ?
[02:17:12] <rue_house> ports system?
[02:17:19] <rue_house> between arch?
[02:17:51] <TELunus> I mean, at this point I don't make source code changes to baisically anything that I didn't write. But I like the idea of people being able to change and then sell things.
[02:18:33] <rue_house> so you wouldn't mind if someone took some of your code, changed it a bit and made $1M off it?
[02:19:06] <rue_house> ?
[02:19:42] <rue_house> :( my code dosn't work
[02:19:43] <TELunus> "ports" is the name for a system they have. It's kind of like the package management systems that keep popping up in Linux land in that it auto downloads what you want to install as well as any dependancies for it, but instead of downloading a binary it downloads and then compiles the sources.
[02:19:59] <rue_house> k
[02:20:12] <TELunus> Not really.
[02:20:15] <rue_house> that makes more sense, but its harder to do
[02:20:26] <TELunus> What's wrong with your code?
[02:20:41] <rue_house> no serial io
[02:20:46] <rue_house> dunno why
[02:20:59] <TELunus> Ruh Roh.
[02:21:37] <rue_house> http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1964013
[02:21:41] <rue_house> code for that,
[02:21:55] <rue_house> it initializes the screen fine, but wont send or recieve data
[02:23:13] <rue_house> I'm waiting for you to comment on the liscence its under :)
[02:23:49] <rue_house> still got that job?
[02:23:54] <TELunus> public domain. Looks good to me!
[02:24:39] <rue_house> is the house sold, is the move done?
[02:24:50] <TELunus> The robotics one? Naw, they didn't have enough projects to keep on 2 engineers besides the owner. Now I'm looking for a new job and doing some construction work.
[02:25:23] <rue_house> look for fire or securrity alarm tech
[02:25:41] <TELunus> If you're refering to my parents moving, yeah they've sold their house and are living in New Westminster. No more coming to the Sunshine Coast for Christmas for me I guess.
[02:26:29] <TELunus> What's that thingiverse thing you sent for?
[02:26:40] <rue_house> cnc controller
[02:26:52] <rue_house> to position it realtime
[02:26:57] <Jymmm> rue_house: As a pre-test, I have a popcorn tin and formed an 'L' with a 2" internal channel out of a perlite/mortar mixture. It's got a few more days to air dry.
[02:27:17] <rue_house> hehe
[02:27:31] <rue_house> thick mix tho, right?
[02:27:37] <Jymmm> nope
[02:27:51] <rue_house> you know you want lots of air gaps..
[02:28:00] <Jymmm> well perlite is tick layer, yes. 5" x 5"
[02:28:26] <Jymmm> so about a 1"+ wall thickness
[02:28:48] <rue_house> why would the serial on a mega328 not work?
[02:29:04] <Jymmm> did you test with an led?
[02:29:37] <rue_house> UCSR0B = ( ( 1 << RXEN0 ) | ( 1 << TXEN0 ) );
[02:29:46] <rue_house> pretty sure that overrides the pin directions
[02:32:27] <TELunus> rue isn't it past your bedtime?
[02:32:37] <rue_house> yes, verry much
[02:32:50] <TELunus> rue go to bed
[02:33:12] <rue_house> collector delta on boiler is still 3c
[23:39:12] <rue_shop3> wholy freaking debounce batman!
[23:39:35] <rue_shop3> the key has to sample for 8000 main loop cycles before its good
[23:56:21] <Jymmm> just type s l o w l y
[23:57:11] <Jymmm> Well, my pre-test cast cracked in the mold *sigh*
