Back
[20:41:51] <Tom_itx> ok cleaned the well out today
[20:41:59] <Tom_itx> alot better than pulling it to clean
[20:42:17] <Tom_itx> shoved a hose with a nozzle down the pipe and flushed it out
[20:42:54] <Tom_itx> got a bucket of sand out then back flushed it with city water
[20:43:53] <Tom_itx> works like new now after fixing a broken wire and a really stubborn sprinkler valve
[20:44:25] <Tom_itx> cleaned all the valves but one still wouldn't shut off so i replaced the diaphram
[20:44:46] <Tom_itx> still wouldn't shut off so i stretched the spring behind the diaphram and it works like new
[20:46:37] <Tom_itx> apparently there wasn't quite enough differential pressure behind it when the solonoid switched to trigger it to shut off
[20:47:07] <Tom_itx> must work something like a pressure regulator
[21:41:39] <Tom_itx> hi kat
[21:42:29] <katsmeow> salutations, Tom
[21:42:53] <katsmeow> how are things?
[21:43:01] <Tom_itx> better now
[21:43:03] <Tom_itx> zlog
[21:43:09] <Tom_itx> ^^
[21:44:19] <katsmeow> do you have city water or a well ?
[21:44:30] <Tom_itx> both
[21:44:41] <Tom_itx> well is irrigation
[21:45:01] <Tom_itx> but it was getting down to a dribble
[21:45:08] <katsmeow> how deep?
[21:45:14] <Tom_itx> not very
[21:45:20] <Tom_itx> 15-20'
[21:45:22] <katsmeow> 50ft/
[21:45:24] <katsmeow> oh
[21:45:26] <katsmeow> ouch
[21:45:35] <Tom_itx> i hit water at like 10' or so
[21:45:48] <Tom_itx> don't care about the 2nd 'good' water layer
[21:46:05] <Tom_itx> add about 8' to that
[21:46:09] <katsmeow> concerned that a bucket full of sand from it is 1/10 the way to a sinkhole breaking the surface
[21:46:10] <Tom_itx> since it's in a basement
[21:46:41] <Tom_itx> maybe 3/4" in the bottom
[21:47:09] <Tom_itx> the story sounded better that way
[21:47:25] <katsmeow> oh
[21:47:42] <Tom_itx> i put it in ~25yrs ago
[21:47:54] <Tom_itx> maybe more?
[21:48:06] <Tom_itx> never touched it til now
[21:48:12] <katsmeow> free water is special when the county is rationing it :-)
[21:51:55] <Tom_itx> i was worried i'd have to pull the pipe like i did on the previous one 3-4 times
[21:52:08] <Tom_itx> not a fun task
[21:52:44] <katsmeow> plastic pipe in iron bore pipe, what's the problem?
[21:52:58] <Tom_itx> sand point
[21:53:04] <Tom_itx> old style well
[21:53:56] <katsmeow> oh
[21:54:22] <katsmeow> small bore, no plastic inner pipe, gotcha
[22:08:21] <rue_house> so, they didn't ask if you had a gun, then ask if to see your registration, and shoot you infront of your family when you reached for it
[22:09:05] <rue_house> thats a brutal story kat!
[22:10:54] <katsmeow> hasn't been that bad at the dentist since then
[22:13:57] <rue_house> my exhaustion problem isn'te h same as my living problem
[22:14:17] <rue_house> when I'm awake, I need to manage good work on my projects, nomatter what they be
[22:14:44] <rue_house> indescicivly shuffling between them not getting anything done wont work on a long term basis
[22:16:06] <katsmeow> true
[22:16:58] <rue_house> if I do succeed in converting myself to a non-organic platform, I should know how do to more than *just exist*
[22:17:06] <katsmeow> since humans and i tend to avoid each other, and i have been unemployeed since Dec 1985, i prolly cannot give valid advice for dealing with humans
[22:17:06] <rue_house> otherwise, it really is a waste
[22:19:08] <rue_house> you know I gave up on ebay?
[22:19:33] <katsmeow> you know i was on phone to paypal over 2 hrs this month?
[22:20:03] <rue_house> you mentioned
[22:20:39] <katsmeow> only thing that gives me pause on cancling/closing my accoutn yesterday is it's the best way to GET money, except even then, i wouldn't be able to get to it!
[22:20:41] <rue_house> I feel for you, the ebay/paypal thing is crap
[22:21:01] <rue_house> even aliexpress (which only does random are-you-human checks) is annoying
[22:21:45] <rue_house> I dont understand why they cant use the microtiming of the username and password entry as the check
[22:22:06] <rue_house> obviously bots dont type, and therefore have no intercharacter timing
[22:22:14] <rue_house> &^%&*$^)\
[22:22:22] <katsmeow> Tiggr can :-P
[22:22:52] <rue_house> ok I been asleep for 2 hours
[22:22:53] <katsmeow> or could, i prolly deleted that code
[22:22:55] <rue_house> thats problem a)
[22:23:11] <rue_house> problem b) is what I do with my time now (till 9:45 when its bedtime)
[22:23:59] <katsmeow> teach the robot arms how do do something useful
[22:24:02] <rue_house> I'm sorry, kat, this weekend was full of visitors and I wasn't on irc

[22:25:12] * katsmeow strted a program Saturday, i think it might finish late tonite
[22:29:50] <rue_house> if I could develop one REALLY good split personality, I could have me do things for me
[22:30:03] <rue_house> always worked out better when I was doing things for other people
[22:32:02] <katsmeow> like paint clock foam?
[22:43:40] <Tom_itx> maybe you should be getting other people to do things for you for a change
[22:44:41] * katsmeow has tried coming up with ideas for rue

[23:07:27] <katsmeow> yeas
[23:07:36] <Tom_itx> cheaper anyway
