[00:22:00] <rue_house> the motor driver worked with running it on 5V, but not much of any more speed
[00:22:36] <rue_house> I found out that I have a current controlled motor driver that uses serial to set the phases, just like I did manually

[21:11:01] <katsmeow> <cough>
[21:23:20] <Tom_itx> that bearing looks like crap
[21:23:26] <Tom_itx> the rest looks quite sturdy
[22:03:44] <katsmeow-afk> the outer race is quite pitted, very tiny pits, prolly from the impact of the bits off the inner race
[22:04:15] <katsmeow-afk> i was expecting to see fractures, but didn't see any onthe outer race
[22:04:25] <katsmeow-afk> the other side of the inner race looks fine too
[22:05:29] <katsmeow-afk> In response to recent minimum wage hikes, Wendy’s is now replacing fast food workers with robots.
[22:05:35] <katsmeow-afk> The fast food chain announced it will start automating all of its restaurants by installing self-serve kiosks in 6,000 locations by the end of the year.
[22:05:44] <katsmeow-afk> Although McDonalds has already been experimenting with kiosks, Wendy’s announcement is the largest roll-out to date and will likely spark a trend leading to fully robotic restaurants.
[22:05:53] <katsmeow-afk> the real revolution i am worred about is what do you do with 350 million unemployed morons in this country, when they cannot buy anything made in this country?
[22:06:01] <katsmeow-afk> robots making burgers that no one can afford
[22:06:06] <katsmeow-afk> even the robot repair techs will be out of a job
[22:07:32] <katsmeow-afk> http://futurism.com/artificially-intelligent-lawyer-ross-hired-first-official-law-firm/
[22:07:56] <katsmeow-afk> Law firm Baker & Hostetler has announced that they are employing IBM’s AI Ross to handle their bankruptcy practice, which at the moment consists of nearly 50 lawyers. According to CEO and co-founder Andrew Arruda, other firms have also signed licenses with Ross, and they will also be making announcements shortly.
[22:08:28] <katsmeow-afk> Ross, "the world's first artificially intelligent attorney" built on IBM's cognitive computer Watson, was designed to read and understand language, postulate hypotheses when asked questions, research, and then generate responses (along with references and citations) to back up its conclusions.
[22:18:54] <katsmeow-afk> so if the front panel is too small for knobs and banananananananana jacks, eliminate the jacks, put in a dunut and permananetly wire in 2ft cables
[23:14:18] <katsmeow-afk> so a switched-capacitor Volt convertor, to make +/- 40v from 120vac?
