[00:36:18] <rue_house> hey
[01:24:51] <rue_house> zhanx,
[01:24:55] <rue_house> https://hackaday.io/project/296-bench-power-supply
[01:25:07] <rue_house> just stuck on the log of the latest progress
[01:27:57] <zhanx> Gave a skull :)
[01:28:11] <rue_house> heh, thanks
[01:29:22] <zhanx> Like the solution is all
[01:29:43] <rue_house> its geting there
[01:29:58] <rue_house> I'll be excited to finish half of it and get 1 channel going
[01:30:04] <zhanx> Like normal no box around your thoughts
[01:30:15] <rue_house> heh
[01:30:25] <rue_house> 'remember to try it upside down too'
[01:30:56] <zhanx> Yea and gives me an idea
[01:32:33] <rue_house> I wonder if its possable to makea votlage controlled delay
[01:33:14] <zhanx> My taw saw is out by 1/16th of an inch.
[01:33:25] <zhanx> So flip it
[01:33:49] <zhanx> Use then1/16th as loss
[01:34:10] <rue_house> shim the blade over
[01:34:11] <rue_house> ?.
[01:34:21] <zhanx> Pull mount
[01:34:28] <zhanx> Plluuy
[01:34:39] <zhanx> Pulley even
[01:34:45] <rue_house> ah
[01:34:57] <zhanx> Bearing is not made any more
[01:35:12] <zhanx> But you solution works on it
[01:35:26] <rue_house> heh, sounds like it was built at the same time as the table saw I ahve
[01:35:42] <zhanx> 1942?
[01:36:13] <rue_house> oh, no, I think mine is mid 50s
[01:36:23] <zhanx> Same thing really
[01:37:02] <rue_house> cast iron
[01:37:12] <rue_house> has the accessories too
[01:37:56] <zhanx> No accessories here I made them
[01:38:03] <rue_house> ok I have to lay in bed now!
[01:38:24] <zhanx> Same here
[01:38:31] <zhanx> Night
[01:40:49] <rue_bed> hmm voltage controlled delay
[01:41:16] <rue_bed> 0-5V, 0-4us
[01:43:06] <rue_bed> if you use an oscillator, thats freq is higher than the input time, and use it as the clock for a D latch
[01:43:11] <rue_bed> vco
[04:37:12] <Jymmm> you still looking for a .25uS delay?
[09:01:32] <rue_bed> no
[09:01:55] <rue_bed> https://hackaday.io/project/296-bench-power-supply
[09:02:15] <rue_bed> 150ns was it
[11:18:29] <Jymmm> cool
[11:19:04] <Jymmm> "This listing has been removed" http://www.ebay.ca/itm/141357082103
[11:19:40] <Jymmm> USB to TTL that is
[20:35:49] <rue_house> yup
[20:36:09] <rue_house> that was the day I learned you cant statically link to ebay listings
[20:38:19] <katsmeow> oh
[21:01:35] <rue_house> hi kat
[21:01:41] <rue_house> the pwm genorator works!
[21:01:49] <rue_house> did you see the diagram?
[21:02:11] <katsmeow> no
[21:02:24] <rue_house> https://hackaday.io/project/296-bench-power-supply
[21:02:30] <rue_house> I'll post a higher rez one..
[21:04:01] <rue_house> http://ruemohr.org/~ircjunk/projects/newpower/p1070742.jpg
[21:04:03] <rue_house> full rez
[21:05:30] <katsmeow> FF stalled
[21:06:06] <rue_house> stall?
[21:06:34] <rue_house> the rated prop delay is 200 to 350ns
[21:09:01] <katsmeow> what does scale do?
[21:09:41] <rue_house> the idea is to take the incomming 0-5V control signal, recentre and scale it down to fit just over and under the ramp
[21:09:59] <rue_house> so its 0-100% scaling
[21:10:09] <katsmeow> ah, ok
[21:10:25] <rue_house> the ramp is reasonable at 3vp-p
[21:10:42] <rue_house> much more than that and it flattens out too much
[21:10:59] <katsmeow> have you tried it while it's running on a hot summer day and outside in winter night?
[21:11:28] <rue_house> no, do you anticipate something going out?
[21:11:38] <katsmeow> yeas, 3v swing at 5v isn't that linear, which is why o had sugegsted a higher voltage
[21:12:00] * katsmeow gsts tuff outa the way so she canfind the keybd
[21:12:09] <rue_house> its not linear, but the RC skew just plays with the phase of it, which dosn't matter
[21:16:33] <katsmeow> http://stagelark.com/images/12410523_10153939152324665_4580437968545522877_n.jpg
[21:20:35] <katsmeow> some of those psu bricks can be isolated from the line, which would be afine thing to do, so neutral/gnd noise doesn't get thru to whatever you are powering
[21:42:59] <Jymmm> My industrial switchers are islotaed "Acme" brand
[21:43:32] <Jymmm> not industrial but the "open frame" ones.
[21:45:08] <rue_house> katm 404
[21:46:19] <katsmeow> i spose he already removed it
[23:57:26] <rue_shop3> katsmeow, whats a J votlage rating for a capacitor?
