01:58 katsmeow-afk yanno, the only reason modern pc will work well is because of the 8-chip-wide modules, the individual chips on the module are too slow
01:59 katsmeow-afk and in that situation, to get best performance from a 64bit cpu, is to have 4 or more modules on the mobo
02:00 katsmeow-afk these are advertised as 133Mhz , but the chips on them are 18ns read access time, plus precharge/refresh/etc , that's 55 Mhz

02:01 katsmeow-afk you get the bytes/sec back up only by sending 8 bytes ata time, which worked fine enough for 16bit and 32bit cpus, the 16's got 4 words at a time, the 32's got 2 words at a time
