20:12 katsmeow-afk i don't know why gain was your enemy, you need gain to go from ,, say 5mv Vdrop on the output, to several volts on the mosfet gate
20:14 katsmeow-afk if the 2n2222 was adding too much gain, put a resistor tween it's emitter and gnd

20:15 katsmeow-afk a gain of 200 will make a 1v correction on the gate for a 5mv output droop, i am not so sure 200 isn't too *low* of a gain with a mosfet
20:17 katsmeow-afk with a bipolar, a loop gain of 20 is prolly good, i'd aim for 50, since you'll have balancing resistors and maybe base resistors too
20:18 katsmeow-afk yeas, a gain of 50 will give 250mv base control for a 5mv output droop, the bipolar will strongly respond to that in most cases
