00:03 rue_house L6 30R
00:03 katsmeow-afk yu are going to put in a special socket for such a small psu?
00:03 rue_house its for a cord for the welder
00:04 katsmeow-afk ah
00:04 katsmeow-afk mine actually pulls 40a when welding 3/32 7018, but i have it all on 10awg anda 40amp breaker, barely gets warm
00:05 katsmeow-afk 4 pole 30a twistlock
00:05 rue_house must have a really high open circuit voltage
00:05 katsmeow-afk i ran the neutral/gnd on two poles
00:05 rue_house mine is about 12V
00:05 rue_house er 24, dont remember
00:33 katsmeow-afk well, before i tried to escape this hellhole of a state, i had a nice collecton of working basic scopes, now i don't
00:34 rue_house hopefully you can fix up what you ahve
00:36 katsmeow-afk maybe
00:40 tsmeow-afk looks qu
00:44 rue_house http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Combination-D-SUB-solder-2W2-jack-30A-power-signal-Coaxial-contact-High-Current-/271268428000?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f28dbb8e0
00:44 rue_house I dun never seen it before!
00:46 katsmeow-afk does not look coaxial to me
01:07 katsmeow-afk ok, got one working, still haveto replace the *7* busted controls on the mainframe front panel
01:08 katsmeow-afk 2 are dual shaft controls with the center shaft busted
01:09 katsmeow-afk and it's a spectrum analyser graticule, but the pic is very sharp, and i have otehr crts i could blow an afternoon swapping out
01:35 katsmeow-afk http://designerthinking.com/images/DSCF6538.jpg <<== got the trace, that's the important part, still have 4 knobs with their shafts and pots, and 3 missing pushbuttons and that busted switch, and the bent on/off shaft
01:58 katsmeow-afk the 7903 , 1/2v at 50ns/div : http://designerthinking.com/images/DSCF6543.jpg
01:59 katsmeow-afk the 7903 at 1/2v and 1/2ns/div : http://designerthinking.com/images/DSCF6545.jpg
01:59 katsmeow-afk hard to focus on it
02:03 katsmeow-afk the 7104 gives great pics at 0.5ns/div or faster, bright too
02:04 katsmeow-afk the rep rate on that signal is really low, so the 7903 is waiting around most of the time on the signal to come around again, and the phosphors dim out
02:22 katsmeow-afk http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/fraudster-guilty-star-trek-linked-tech-scam-article-1.1556713
02:24 katsmeow-afk this sounds odd "
02:24 katsmeow-afk Actress Emilia Clarke was tapped to play Emilia Clarke in the 'Terminator' reboot."
02:26 katsmeow-afk this sounds odd "For Emilia Clarke, the role marks here first franchise pic since breaking out on the HBO drama as Daenerys Targaryen."
02:38 katsmeow-afk my back is in pain, i arenot made for carrying scopes downstairs and onto shelves
04:18 katsmeow-afk i just flipped the 7603 on again, and it still works
04:18 katsmeow-afk and i am still awake :-/
04:23 katsmeow-afk -
04:23 katsmeow-afk 1/09/2014 - Thursday
04:23 katsmeow-afk 3:51 am
04:23 katsmeow-afk On FedEx vehicle for delivery
09:32 rue_house think they strapped it down?
09:34 e_house hopes it dosn't roll off while going around a co
16:21 tsmeow-afk ponders a whack to the head with the butt end of a real axe to relax her
16:23 katsmeow-afk "Drug Dealer Expecting Slow January As Entire Clubbing Community Detoxes. A local drug dealer has said that he is expecting a lean start to the year...."
18:01 katsmeow-afk wow, a bag of heroin is $4? how much is in a bag? can it replace anything that costs more than $4? like toothpaste? epoxy? solar cell potting material?
18:01 katsmeow-afk can it replace lithium in batteries?
18:33 katsmeow-afk an asset is a beneficial part of something, an assette is a small rearend
18:39 Tom_itx 1ms = 1000 ns right?
18:49 katsmeow-afk no
18:49 katsmeow-afk .001 = 1ms
18:49 katsmeow-afk .000001 = 1us
18:49 katsmeow-afk .000000001 = ins
18:49 katsmeow-afk er
18:49 katsmeow-afk .000000001 = 1ns
18:50 katsmeow-afk 1ms = 1,000,000ns
18:51 katsmeow-afk a sine wave that completes in 1ns is 1Ghz
19:02 atom1 kat
19:02 atom1 i need probably a 4ms pulse but it's measured in ns
19:03 atom1 so it would be 4000000 ?
19:09 katsmeow-afk correct
19:09 katsmeow-afk sorry for the lag, i am back and forth
19:18 katsmeow-afk this sorta sucks: the two 7603 scopes i can get working both have the annoying spectrum analyser graticules
19:18 katsmeow-afk i didn't see if the 2 desktop units work yet
19:19 katsmeow-afk spectrum analyser graticules have that sorta print right where the onscreen readout for general purpose use is, making it difficult to figure out the settings
19:35 katsmeow-afk the 6502 is a 1Mhz cpu, it access the buss only 500ns of each 1us cycle, leaving the buss unused half the time, turns out if you invert the clk phases for two 6502, you can put both on the same buss, which led to one 65xx cpu being afaik, the first dual core cpu, two 6502 in one package

19:38 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:81/~webpage/cnc/configs/sherline/new_pause_resume.jpg
19:39 Tom_itx #2 works the same with less logic
19:39 Tom_itx 'edge' is a oneshot pulse
19:50 katsmeow-afk oh
19:50 katsmeow-afk iirc, you can put the new version in one 74LS221 chip
19:50 katsmeow-afk or LS123
19:50 Tom_itx this is software
19:50 katsmeow-afk ok
19:51 katsmeow-afk there's 3 popular LS oneshot chips, one dual one-shot chip has a AND gate on each one-shot
21:05 katsmeow-afk a month after i figure i have enough ebay capacitors for everything i will ever do, i am cutting a cap from a dead wintel box psu to replace a 250u 150v cap in a scope
21:06 katsmeow-afk the moral : gotta keep those scrap boxes full
21:06 katsmeow-afk oh, and the 7903 has a weak center slot :-/
21:44 katsmeow-afk open cap replaced, scope works pretty as pie
22:20 Tom_itx good stuff kat
22:22 katsmeow-afk working on another now, : no onscreen display ; the brightness pot for that is badly intermittant , trying to get into it now withut spending 2 days on it
23:12 katsmeow-afk i don't get it, i spray silicone into the pot, and almost the entire psu crashes
23:23 katsmeow-afk i seem to need an AGC 15/100
23:26 katsmeow-afk 0.15 amp
23:46 katsmeow-afk fark, i haveto open this one way up, there's two mounting screw near the bottom that are half unscrewed and loose
