07:36 Tom_itx want a c book to read?
07:46 jennie sure!
09:23 jennie http://www5.picturepush.com/photo/a/12494973/img/Anonymous/pwm.jpg says that if pulse is on for half time of period then it is 50% duty cycle and so on , but the signal at left side doesnt have pulse like right side then how its duty cycle is plotted ? it is not looking like pulse at right side then also it is at duty cycle how ?'
10:19 Tom_itx jennie, http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:81/~webpage/avr/c_bits/K&R_C_2nd.pdf
10:21 Tom_itx memorize it
10:34 jennie ok
10:34 jennie hey Tom_itx you know about PWM ?
12:19 Tom_itx yup
12:20 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:81/~webpage/how_to/atmega168/mega168_pwm_index.php
14:26 rue_house jennie, you here?
14:26 jennie yes
14:27 rue_house have the link to your last code?
14:27 rue_house http://codepad.org/VPGaYX3S
14:27 rue_house I had that
14:28 rue_house you were gonna have it print radians and not degrees
14:28 jennie oh yes'
14:28 jennie just a minute
14:32 jennie http://codepad.org/Cv0P733o
14:37 jennie rebooting
14:42 rue_house ok
14:42 rue_house so, you need to work from the loop
14:44 rue_house http://codepad.org/VPGaYX3S you need to work from this code, and instead of printing i, make a new value called rads, before the print, make rads = I * your conversion factor, then print rads in the printf
14:51 jennie back
14:56 rue_house <jennie> rebooting
14:56 rue_house <rue_house> ok
14:56 rue_house <rue_house> so, you need to work from the loop
14:56 rue_house <rue_house> http://codepad.org/VPGaYX3S you need to work from this code, and instead of printing i, make a new value called rads, before the print, make rads = I * your conversion factor, then print rads in the printf
14:57 jennie ok
14:58 any04541118 found the Geo's computer, still cannot get to it, but i can see it
14:59 rue_house easily serviced by replacing hte car?
15:00 any04541118 yeas
15:00 jennie http://codepad.org/qdNRI6xp
15:00 rue_house ok ! good!
15:00 rue_house jennie, you need to make rads a float tho, cause for the most part its less than 1
15:01 jennie http://codepad.org/ohKE7nyr yeah
15:01 rue_house ok!
15:01 any04541118 the alternative way to get to it, instead of using a cutting torch to divide the car into thirds, is to remove the entire dashboard, part of the frame, the entire fuse assy and all the wiring to it, the clutch and brake pedals and the attachements
15:02 any04541118 and cutting the steering column
15:02 rue_house now, for printf, %d prints an integer number, and %f prints a floating point number
15:03 rue_house any04541118, ah, thats good to know incase you ever need to know for antoher one
15:03 jennie http://codepad.org/6kNZiETx
15:03 rue_house cutting torch is definitly the easier way
15:04 y04541118
15:04 rue_house jennie, %d tells printf that there will be an integer number after the format string, %f says there will be a floating point number, right now, its looking for two numbers after the format string, we can get rid of the %d cause the variable rads, that comes after, is a float
15:05 rue_house ?
15:05 any04541118 i will be cutting the windshield and steering column next, because while i can see it, i can't see how it's held in, or more than 1/2 the wiring in the area, even tho i have the whole dashboard as far out as it will go
15:06 rue_house "Hello [print Hello] %d [print an integer number] %f [print a floating point nuber] \n [start a new line] ", rads [it would use this variable for the fist number its been asked to print]
15:07 jennie ok
15:07 rue_house do you see how to fix it?
15:08 rue_house we want Hello, followed by a floating point number, then a new line, and the number we want to use is rads
15:10 jennie ok
15:10 jennie http://codepad.org/PjwhmHW8
15:10 rue_house jennie, get rid of the %d
15:11 jennie http://codepad.org/Vz7x1TmO
15:11 rue_house the %- says there is information following the string you want it to paste in for you
15:11 rue_house ok!
15:11 rue_house jennie, this gets more fun
15:12 rue_house whats the value of sin(3.1415926535)
15:13 jennie 0.054?
15:13 rue_house it is if that angle were in degrees
15:14 rue_house hehe, I dont know how to switch my calc from deg to rad
15:14 rue_house oh mode 5
15:15 rue_house did you use a caculator for that?
15:16 any04541118 carp, rain
15:16 rue_house if the computer gets wet, can you wash off the water?
15:16 any04541118 yeas, apply lots of dry
15:16 rue_house good show
15:17 rue_house anything usefull comming off the car?
15:17 any04541118 wiper motor
15:17 rue_house or you just taking off everything not usefull
15:17 rue_house k
15:18 any04541118 most of the car is parts in great condition, sadly
15:18 rue_house oh, I hear the wiring harness is in great shape
15:18 any04541118 wheel studs are stripped, gas tank was a rust bomb, driver side door hinge falling apart
15:19 any04541118 passenger side door is like new
15:19 any04541118 all the glass is exelent
15:19 any04541118 passenger seat is quite useable, small tear, recoverable
15:19 rue_house passenger door on my truck is pretty good too, they should build driver side doors like they do those passanger ones
15:19 any04541118 i agree
15:20 any04541118 but you'd haveto get out of the car to roll up the window
15:20 rue_house hey, life is full of small sacrifices
15:20 any04541118 tires are rotted
15:21 any04541118 bumpers have never been used
15:21 rue_house I try not to use the bumpers on my truck
15:21 any04541118 door and window trim is all in fine shape, cept around the driver door
15:21 any04541118 fan is in normal condition for here: full of mice
15:22 rue_house alternative energy eh?
15:22 rue_house sneaky
15:22 rue_house jennie, hello?
15:22 any04541118 it's a small car
15:22 jennie yes
15:22 jennie i used calculator
15:23 rue_house jennie, can you calculate the value of sin(3.1415926535) with the angle as rads not degrees?
15:23 any04541118 radiator etc holds water, and in this case, real antifreeze
15:23 any04541118 0.054803665148789530887748713539833
15:23 any04541118 iirc
15:24 rue_house thats degrees again
15:24 jennie ok
15:24 rue_house kat, retry in your head
15:24 rue_house sin(Pi)
15:25 y04541118 slaps her MA347612890GT4078579132R74 malumalu Z17924398TZR two thousand modular guidance type 452963752391MQTO gold launch system GLS installed self deciding type double 0 three seven 293165734285YGNKTIO1200YMCA4126PPPKG53 No
15:25 rue_house jennie, your answer was sin(3.14degrees) I'm looking for sin(3.14radians)
15:25 any04541118 GRAS= [!abbr][!what] Generally Recognised As Safe ; that is to say: at this moment, we know of nothing wrong with it, so it's safe, just as lead water pipes were GRAS to the ancient Romans, or thalidomide was safe, or 100% O2 atmosphere was safe in a flammable spacecraft....
15:25 jennie ok
15:26 jennie 0.2198
15:26 y04541118 goes outside to play with molten steel and fire in the
15:26 rue_house no, I think...
15:27 rue_house thats not even gradians...
15:27 rue_house jennie, take a look at your calc, somewhere it says [deg]
15:27 jennie 9.31
15:28 rue_house jennie, see, computers have this annoying property of doing all trig functions in radians, so I need to convert ya for finishing this code up
15:28 rue_house jennie, found it?
15:30 jennie yes
15:30 rue_house heh, not the right answer yet
15:30 rue_house jennie, you need to change [deg] on the calculator to [rad]
15:30 jennie 8.97
15:30 jennie ?
15:30 rue_house so it uses radians and not degrees
15:31 rue_house its liek am imperial vs metric thing, there are degrees (full circle is 360), radians (full circle is 6.28), and gradians (I dunno, never used them)
15:32 rue_house jennie, do you see how to switch the calculator?
15:33 jennie yes
15:33 jennie I swithced to radians
15:33 rue_house ok
15:33 jennie and then 8.97 came
15:33 rue_house do 3.14159265 and hit sin
15:33 rue_house it shouldn't be 8.97
15:33 jennie 3.58
15:33 rue_house heh, strange
15:33 rue_house no
15:33 jennie Lol
15:33 rue_house do it says [rad] ?
15:34 jennie yes
15:34 jennie 2.65
15:34 jennie lol
15:34 jennie it is saying different values every time
15:34 rue_house and if you hit clear, put in 3.14159265 and push sin, it gives you 2.65?
15:36 rue_house :) maybe we should skip over some of this...
15:36 rue_house ?
15:36 any04541118 too wet
15:36 jennie yes
15:36 jennie it gives me 2.6
15:37 rue_house give me a min...
15:37 rue_house strange, the answer of sin(3.1415 radians) is 0
15:37 any04541118 0.0015926529164869525405414363244433
15:37 jennie now it is 3.58 coming
15:37 any04541118 i rounded
15:37 jennie ;-S
15:37 any04541118 but rue is right, there's pi radians in a circle
15:37 rue_house kat, your still not doing it in your head
15:38 e_house coughs,
15:38 any04541118 yeas i did
15:38 y04541118 makes large
15:38 rue_house hehe
15:38 rue_house 1+1=3 for large values of 1?
15:39 any04541118 you remembered!
15:39 rue_house :)
15:40 y04541118 is still messed up from the move to Fla, and being told a wreck on the interstate didn't happen because someone didn't see the results, as shown on http://designerthinking.com/i-20_wreck.html , ergo i am a liar or i imagined the whole thing, because i am disabled and i have no p
15:41 rue_house looks like someone fell asleep
15:41 any04541118 see the pics with an 18-wheeler on the otehr side, for scale, the guy said it was no wonder he didn't see the damage, blah blah blah, the damage was the size of the 18-wheeler, if he didn't see the damage then he also couldn't have seen an 18-wheeler
15:42 any04541118 no, looks like local morons got on the interstate at 10mph again, making everyone change lanes at 90mph, and they just ran out of lanes to change to
15:43 rue_house jennie, take a minute, see if you can get the calculator to come up with 0 for sin(3.14)
15:43 any04541118 before the barrier went up, they'd just drive over to oncoming traffic and make bigger messes
15:43 jennie ok
15:43 any04541118 but it pisses me off something fierce that the humans who caused the mess were not injured, they never are, but other people get killed
15:44 rue_house its not just a nudge either, someone was really trying
15:45 any04541118 i think, from the debris, the 1st 18-w mashed at least one car against the concrete for 300+ feet, and ~20min later a 2nd 18-w piled innto the wreckd cars still along the concrete, which is what busted up the concrete (i saw the 2nd 18-w hanging cooked on it there)
15:46 any04541118 crooked
15:47 rue_house how long cleanup usually take
15:47 any04541118 well, after 3 days, there was enough debris to show up in one of my pics
15:48 rue_house I think your seeing the limit of the cleanup as time approaches infinity
15:48 any04541118 blue spec on http://designerthinking.com/images/i-20_wreck/DSCF3198m.jpg
15:49 any04541118 anotehr blue on http://designerthinking.com/images/i-20_wreck/DSCF3199m.jpg
15:49 any04541118 more on the ground in http://designerthinking.com/images/i-20_wreck/DSCF3200m.jpg
15:49 e_house
15:49 rue_house so there is no record of an inncodent?
15:50 any04541118 i didn't bother to go ask
15:50 any04541118 it wasn't in the only tv news i can see
15:51 any04541118 it bothers me still that since the guy i told didn't see all that damage when he drove by it (or didn't want to admit he saw it), then i was a liar or imagining it all
15:53 any04541118 the same was going on in court, but they told me if i provided pics they'd jail me for having pics of the dog, because pics violated it's right to privacy
15:54 any04541118 that's how it is here, if i do not provide proof, no onebelieves anything i say
15:55 rue_house jennie,
15:55 rue_house http://codepad.org/QO9aKm7X
15:55 rue_house do you have a real computer you can run that code on?
15:57 any04541118 heck with that, do you have an unreal one to run the code?
15:57 rue_house oops
15:58 rue_house printf shoudl be %f %f %f
15:59 rue_house jennie, I revised it...
16:00 rue_house http://codepad.org/i9arFt4j
16:02 rue_house jennie, sometimes its just as important to know what it is you dont know
16:03 rue_house when you boil down the answer, you get
16:03 rue_house 0 1 -1
16:03 rue_house 1 0 -1
16:03 rue_house 1 -1 0
16:03 rue_house 0 -1 1
16:03 rue_house -1 0 1
16:03 rue_house -1 1 0
16:03 rue_house 0 1 -1
16:04 rue_house its the phase seq, 0 means the phase is off, 1 means its +V, -1 means its -V
16:04 any04541118 wow, serious wind
16:04 rue_house too many beans for supper?
16:04 any04541118 not yet
16:06 any04541118 but considering the exterior wall is 4" of poured concrete, and the wood frame inside it is a foot thick of R50 insulation, double spaced studded, and then sheetrock, and i heard the wind, that's saying soemthing
16:06 any04541118 imho
16:06 jennie ok
16:07 jennie phase sequence for PIC ?
16:11 any04541118 take a serial-in shift register, parallel out, NAND bits 2 and 3 to feed the serial in, clock it, you'll get the overlapping single-ended 3-phase
16:11 any04541118 or 1 and 2? i dunno, i am listening to the wind
16:12 any04541118 quit raining, going out to see if there is a hole in the house, maybe with new firewood sticking out of it
16:31 any04541118 internesting lil squall line, all the trees are dry on their west side
16:31 any04541118 err, eas side
16:33 any04541118 Wind: 20 mph from the WSW
16:33 any04541118 Wind Gust: 31 mph
16:39 jennie rue_house:
16:39 jennie ?
18:46 any1121234125351 <news> When we interviewed Ms Jones live under the sign of her new business yesterday, "Quality Assurance Guaranty Inc", and the camera zoomed in on Ms Jones and a portion of her company's sign, we appologise
18:46 any1121234125351 [ Quality Assurance Guaranty Inc ]
18:46 any1121234125351 [ Ms Jones ] [ tv reporter ]
18:47 any1121234125351 <cough>
19:47 rue_more Lolina8088, tuesday eh?
19:47 rue_more maybe I better put this into high gear
19:52 Lolina8088 it doesn't need to be functional
19:59 rue_more I forgot to show you the garden...
19:59 rue_more and the clean truck :)
20:01 Lolina8088 so many things, so little time. :)
21:06 any1121234125351 [20:26] -kloeri- [Global Notice] Hi again. The network issues is caused by a DDoS attack and we're working with our sponsors to have it filtered. Depending on how bored the attacker is it could be a while before everything is back to normal however. Sorry about the stability issues caused by this.
21:07 any1121234125351 i have 20 peanut butterjarlids without jars, i wonder if i can label them as robot line follower wheels on ebay
21:18 rue_more iamturnip, should I not strip down a T1000 laptop?
21:18 rue_more kat, that expalins tobbors problems
21:30 any1121234125351 tobbor has a problem?
21:31 any1121234125351 it's caused by my jar lids?
21:32 y1121234125351 looks at the jar lids with shock and
21:33 jennie anything for me ?
21:33 y1121234125351 offers a cammillia fl
21:34 any1121234125351 the supposed bush has grown to over 6ft tall, and is covered with soft red flowers that smell nice
21:45 any1121234125351 ---------------------
21:45 any1121234125351 That is the sad mystery of mastery, the one that we struggle to explain to our kids. It is very hard to do a difficult thing, it is very important to learn to do a difficult thing, and once you have learned to do it, you will
21:45 any1121234125351 always discover that there is someone else who does it better. The only consolation is that, often as not, those who do it best of all, are, one way or another, quite hollow inside. This seems like sage, if sober, wisdom to expect our children to master.
21:45 any1121234125351 ---------------------
22:27 rue_more what s the mystery?
22:28 any1121234125351 why i can be so good at so much, and be unfullfilled and empty inside
22:28 rue_more ah
22:29 rue_more you changed your number of digits
22:29 rue_more I think yo udid that once before
22:29 any1121234125351 hy humans who are fulliffed and hardly half as taleted as me can see me as brain dead
22:29 y1121234125351 s
22:29 rue_more I have another 2 printers and a server to strip down
22:30 rue_more then I have 6 monitors to test
22:30 any1121234125351 vga?
22:31 any1121234125351 i want to play with some vga monitor analog to digital chips, if you'll answer me
22:33 rue_more hmm
22:33 rue_more I have to open some up anyhow, if I can remember I'll note what they are
22:33 rue_more I think the video controlers usually take it in direct
22:34 any1121234125351 o
22:34 any1121234125351 there's some vga adc on ebay, even reels of them , but still $5 or more per chip
22:50 y1121234125351 trims her
23:16 any1121234 yep, it's military, they strapped hydrofold to a 40ft shipping container and put a jet engine on top of it : http://www.faqs.org/patents/imgfull/20120192779_12
23:19 rue_more I should make a little model of soemthing like that
23:19 rue_more I dont know how to make it breakaway nice if its hits soemthing
23:20 any1121234 a 20 ton container at 60mph on the water? there won't be anything to break away if it's hit
23:21 rue_more I was thinking of modding a boat to go from here to vancouver, the ferries are horrible
23:23 any1121234 a basic catararan should do you very well
23:24 rue_more fast is good
23:24 any1121234 they are wide, very stable, can carry a lot of hp
23:24 rue_more .5hr ferry ride for $67
23:24 rue_more hmm
23:24 any1121234 what??
23:24 any1121234 $134 for an hr ferry ride??
23:24 rue_more I was going to make or get a 16' std hull and put hydrofoils on it
23:25 rue_more its a half hour ride
23:25 rue_more but the schedule is really annoying
23:25 any1121234 not if you take it twice
23:25 any1121234 really, it costs you $67 to goto Van Island??
23:25 any1121234 and then $67 back ??
23:25 rue_more no to go to vancouver
23:25 rue_more so far its just one way
23:25 y1121234 looks conf
23:26 rue_more more if taking the truck
23:26 any1121234 only one way, everyone goes there no one leaves?
23:26 rue_more hah, they cant toll this side
23:26 rue_more yet, they are gearing up to do it
23:27 any1121234 you will find the cost of engine and fuel to be a serious problem if you wanna carry a truck
23:27 any1121234 better to leave the truck there for $5/nite and carry only you across
23:27 rue_more if the ferry isn't late or burning down, its every 2 hours
23:27 rue_more dont need to carry a truck
23:28 rue_more tho the hydrofoil dynamics would be interesting
23:28 any1121234 ok, then any ole pontoon boat will carry 500lbs of tools and conduit safely, and can still be fast
23:29 any1121234 hit a whale, foils break off, boat impacts the water (or whale) hard
23:30 any1121234 you'll need dock space dedicated to you at each end, else you'll spend hours looking for an open space at all the marinas
23:30 rue_more I dont need to take the truck, I prefer to take the bus, they dont gget lost like I do
23:31 any1121234 so don't put the truck on the pontoon boat :-/
23:31 any1121234 small lake pontoon boat down here won't carry a vehicle,, maybe a 4x4 atv
23:32 any1121234 but you wanna go fast? = big engine, heavy weight, won't carry a atv
23:32 rue_more dont see why I couldn't use the boat launch for the truck tho...
23:32 any1121234 cause you can't park the boat there all weekend
23:32 rue_more yea, i can remote control it and anchor it out in the haurbor
23:32 any1121234 and you prolly don't wanna launch down a ramp off atrailer if the ramp is covered in winter ice
23:38 any1121234 prolly
23:41 y1121234 wonders what a asfarttbox.ow
