10:54 katsmeow-afk i found a way that i think no one else has, to give Ai a push towards working, without terabytes of ram on 12Ghz 32core cpus
10:56 Tom_itx patent it
11:02 katsmeow-afk atm, i am having trouble getting the software ability on wintel platforms
11:03 katsmeow-afk i really seriously may need to drop back to simpler hardware and OSs to make it myself
11:05 katsmeow-afk winblows naturally won't cooperate, nix changes so much people do updates every week, and no one writing compilers/interpreters sees any point in catering to something new in Ai, becaise they see Ai as philosopy or futuristic dreaming
11:06 katsmeow-afk this just in, copy/paste concerning my req for functionality, which works in an interpreter but not in C/C+/C++/C# : lost> the entire team is of the opinion that everything else must bend backwards to accommodate the translator
11:08 katsmeow-afk ergo, the code works, but not going to be added because the people doing C* see no point in it working, and neither windose, Apple, or Nix can do it in the olde compiled machine code
11:56 katsmeow-afk lost> that requires a whole framework to be written up though
11:56 katsmeow-afk [11:43] * katsmeow-afk could just pull her hair out in frustration and agony

11:58 katsmeow-afk in fact, there are two software bases on wintel machines that come close to what i want to do: Mirc, LISP
11:58 katsmeow-afk but both of those have serious shortcomings in otehr areas
11:59 katsmeow-afk the only one i can make do **whatever** i want is the C64, but it's limited by 1Mhz cpu speed and 32k of working ram and no compatable harddrive access
12:01 katsmeow-afk it's been 27 YEARS since the C64 came out, and even longer that Ai programmers cannot do what's needed in the existing wintel/nix hardware/software bases
12:01 tsmeow-afk scr
12:04 katsmeow-afk on dos5/win3.1, TurboPascal v5, 80386/80586, it was not even a step up, because TP used almost all the ram, and programs were limited to 65k blocks, and data was limited to 64k blocks, and i couldn't do half what the C64 did, bit it did the other half faster
12:05 katsmeow-afk programs written for the c64 couldn't run on wintel then, and cannot run now, because of limits placed on OSs and compilers even now
12:05 katsmeow-afk and all the OS/compiler developers say is: so go program your C64
12:06 katsmeow-afk they do not want the code to advance in features
12:06 tsmeow-afk screams some
19:25 rue_house learn C?
