14:45 rue_house and do M83 before the G1
14:46 rue_house M109 S200 M83 G1 E1 F30
14:47 rue_house newline between each, and M109 S200, will start the head heating up and you'll have to wait for it to reach temperature (whats the W: value)
14:47 rue_house gcodes is http://reprap.org/wiki/Gcode
19:11 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:81/~webpage
19:11 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:82/~tom/
19:11 Tom_itx should show the same page
20:10 rue_house 82 dosn't show
20:12 Tom_itx i know
20:12 Tom_itx i'm still kinda stuck
20:13 Tom_itx i did ifconfig and it doesn't show the ip i put in the ports.conf file
20:14 Tom_itx i'm not sure why it isn't saving it
20:15 Tom_itx it defaults back to 192.168.1.104 instead of 121 which i put in the conf file
20:16 Tom_itx i change the port in my router and it works
20:16 Tom_itx i can't figure out why it's not reading the ports.conf file
22:09 Tom_itx ok it works now
22:09 Tom_itx i'm not sure exactly what the culprit was
23:09 TELunus Why do motor coils use so many thin loops instead of a few bigger ones?
23:11 Tom_itx less current draw
23:14 TELunus So I can do it if I put my bateries in a more parallel arangement I can do it?
23:17 Tom_itx batteries only hold so many amp hours no matter how you configure them
23:21 TELunus but if I say thicken my wire to double the current draw and half the number of coils, then put half my bateries in parallel with the other half so I am still supplying the same current from each battery I should still get the same field strength (and thus torque/rpm) and number of hours.
23:22 Tom_itx no
23:23 Tom_itx A) thicken the wire -> increases current
23:23 Tom_itx B) half the number of coils -> increases the current
23:23 Tom_itx (less resistance)
23:24 TELunus okay, so I would need a more drastic change to parallel
