00:15 iamturnip i have a laday ada kit emergency
00:15 iamturnip has a missing part maybe you can help me think of something in the warehouse that might work?
00:15 iamturnip http://search.digikey.com/us/en/products/IRFD110PBF/IRFD110PBF-ND/812472
00:17 rue_mohr N channel mosfet
00:18 rue_mohr standard gate voltage, you can prolly pull about any one off a motherboard and it'll work
00:18 rue_mohr I dont know where to get any that fit the same package tho, so some creativity is req'd
00:18 iamturnip i making a clock that has some sort of vacuum tube display its the part that they claim is high volatge resistor
00:19 iamturnip *voltage
00:19 rue_mohr oooh yea
00:19 rue_mohr its high voltage didn't notice that
00:19 rue_mohr use a fet from a computer power supply, or easier, a multisync crt monitor
00:20 rue_mohr IRF640 iirc or 630
00:20 iamturnip ok, it is pretty standard then?
00:20 rue_mohr not too much special than the package on that one
00:21 iamturnip can i show you the instructions so we are talking about the same thing?
00:21 iamturnip http://www.ladyada.net/make/icetube/solder.html it is about half way down
00:21 rue_mohr your ok with a irc630, but its packaged different, so you need to maybe run sone wires from the pins
00:22 iamturnip starts with "We also need to place the high voltage transistor that does the switching in the switching regulator. Its a little confusing how to place it because there is no notch. However, two of the pins are bridged. These go on the right as shown."
00:23 rue_mohr they both have a D S G connection, from the datasheets, match them up and your golden
00:23 iamturnip ok cool
00:23 iamturnip thanks man!
00:24 rue_mohr if you have any problems finding datasheets give me a shout
00:24 iamturnip k
04:58 zhanx fixed irc on tmobile wireless tether
04:58 zhanx had to use SASL
04:59 zhanx think i will setup a vpn on my home pc and use that from now on
