04:39 AM LeoNerd: Ahhh... I think I finally have it working. Flexible period and pulsewidth measurement on the ATtiny1616, including automatic range switching
04:48 AM LeoNerd: I've measured 20Hz. I've measured over 1MHz.
06:33 AM LeoNerd: Today's experiment involves a 32kHz watch crystal on the TOSC pins. Those pins are shared by the USART, so I'll have to move it. Currently I can't get it working though. I'm wondering if the extra stray capacitance of the serial port connections might be loading it
07:45 AM LeoNerd: Hrm.. in the meantime while I get that working, it appears the CLKCTRL.OSC20MCALIBA register is nowhere near fine-grained enough to let me dial in any more than about half a percent of accuracy
07:46 AM LeoNerd: I'm gonna need a wholelot more than that for a good frequency meter. I feel I may need to track it separately myself
07:57 AM qu1j0t3: silly question but... buy a frequency counter? there are a lot of extremely good used ones (i use an HP 5335A)
08:12 AM qu1j0t3: nm, i remembered it's part of your embedded application ;)
08:12 AM * qu1j0t3 gets started on first coffee
08:15 AM * twnqx is lost in the world of telecommunications
08:15 AM twnqx: all i want is a MFF2 chip with a TS.48 profile, i thin
08:15 AM twnqx: k
08:16 AM twnqx: but then again, maybe i am wrong
