11:08 AM exp: i was today days old when I learned just how bad some zener diode's recovery characteristics can be

11:51 AM exp: they report all sorts of wacky behaviour
11:51 AM exp: turns out it's correlated to inserting/removing batteries on a couple foot long leads
11:51 AM exp: one trace goes to everywhere involved and also happens to be right next to a pin seeing negative going edges it shouldn't

11:52 AM exp: turns out we only fitted zeners to the battery presence line, and i haven't measured their actual reverse time but it's nowhere near
