08:41 PM rue_mohr: WHOA
08:41 PM rue_mohr: dude
08:41 PM rue_mohr: WormFood, YOUR ALIVE
08:41 PM rue_mohr: talk!
08:42 PM WormFood: holy fuck! I am alive
08:42 PM WormFood: at least I was, last time I checked.
08:42 PM rue_mohr: I was called by someone
08:42 PM rue_mohr: asking if I could help with a backup of your site
08:42 PM WormFood: Believe it or not, I tried to get an updated version of avrbaudcalc to you, but I couldn't get anyone to help me, and I couldn't do it myself (until now)
08:42 PM rue_mohr: but I botched it and lost track of them
08:43 PM rue_mohr: what happened to you for the last ? years?
08:43 PM rue_mohr: I thought you died from a medical something
08:43 PM rue_mohr: I was very :(
08:43 PM * WormFood invites rue_mohr to a /msg
09:03 PM rue_mohr: http://wormfood.net/avrbaudcalc.php
09:56 PM Phantom: o/ WormFood nice to see you alive!
10:03 PM WormFood: thanks Phantom. It's good to be back.
10:04 PM Phantom: yeah it's nice to see people comming back... we lost way too many peoples :(
10:07 PM WormFood: well, you lost me long before the move.
10:07 PM WormFood: I've been gone since March of 2017
10:08 PM WormFood: I just got back to usa last month.
10:13 PM rue_mohr: WormFood, esp32 too with arduino
10:15 PM rue_mohr: WormFood, see me @ https://twitter.com/RueNahcMohr
10:15 PM rue_mohr: is kinda my blog?
10:16 PM * rue_mohr shakes head, 1808 followers, that is insane
10:16 PM rue_mohr: I really did think it would get no more than 100 abs tops
10:16 PM * WormFood looks
10:19 PM Phantom: WormFood: I know you were gone since age
10:21 PM qu1j0t3: WormFood: I never knew you but that's a long absence reversed, so ... hi
10:21 PM qu1j0t3: WormFood: what was the dark side of the moon .. really like
10:21 PM WormFood: indeed. Greetings qu1j0t3
10:22 PM WormFood: rue_mohr, I noticed your twitter uses a 6809 cpu. Any particular reason for that cpu?
10:22 PM * qu1j0t3 bought some recently to build a Scopetrex maybe
10:22 PM Phantom: WormFood: he use that because... he's rue :D
10:22 PM qu1j0t3: ^
10:23 PM WormFood: You know, I did a scopetrex some 25+ years ago
10:23 PM WormFood: no kidding.
10:23 PM qu1j0t3: :)
10:23 PM WormFood: I connected my vectrex to my scope configured in x-y mode
10:23 PM qu1j0t3: nice. vector generation is my main project, but i keep getting sidetracked by fixing XY's
10:23 PM WormFood: I didn't bother with the Z axis, so you could see ALL the lines...even when they turned the beam off
10:24 PM WormFood: and the X axis and y axis was inverted, but you could clearly see mine storm on the display
10:24 PM * WormFood has owned a vectrex since the early 80s. Bought new for $100
10:25 PM rue_mohr: WormFood, someone on twitter was doing a thing about one
10:25 PM WormFood: I was thinking about the possibility of connecting it to a laser, and have it drawn on the wall.
10:26 PM WormFood: In the 80s, I had a Tandy Color Computer, which also used the 6809, and it was the platform that I learned assembly language on, back in the mid 80s. Which was a skill that came in extremely valuable for writing software for satellite tv smart cards ;)
10:28 PM rue_mohr: :)
10:28 PM WormFood: I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there were people here who have used my smart card software from back in the day, because I randomly bumped into people IRL that had used my software on their smart cards.
10:29 PM WormFood: My software was well known in the dishnet/bev hacking community of the 200x years
10:29 PM rue_mohr: I had a buddy into it
10:30 PM rue_mohr: it would have been great to have made a connection there
10:30 PM WormFood: In fact, THAT is the reason I wrote my avr "baud" (bit) rate calculator in the first place. To help me with my satellite hacking projects.
10:31 PM WormFood: rue_mohr, ask your buddy if he remembers a program called ppv master, that'd let you order PPVs from the remote control, then would delete them when they expired? That was probably the most poplar piece of software that I wrote. But I also made available an assembler, specifically for sat hacking.
10:32 PM rue_mohr: he's not into much, he had two strokes
10:32 PM WormFood: well, that's sad.
10:33 PM WormFood: Anyways, I got quite a bit of work I still need to do. It seems my email server does not like being converted to 64-bit, and it is causing me problems, that I gotta track down.
10:34 PM WormFood: I'll be around.
10:34 PM WormFood: And, if you any of you guys can think of any features you'd like added to avrbaudcalc, let me know, and I'll see what I can do.
10:35 PM rue_mohr: glad your alive!!!
10:35 PM WormFood: me too. Thanks! ;)
10:40 PM qu1j0t3: WormFood: lasers could be difficult, very low bandwidth galvos
10:40 PM qu1j0t3: WormFood: but yeah you'd probably get .. something
10:48 PM specing_ is now known as specing
10:59 PM jmiehe1 is now known as jmiehe
11:58 PM rue_bed: there is a pretty good laser/galvo project
