08:06 AM exp: i need to specify a magjack for a marvell chipset which doesn't have an open spec or datasheet... it's a 1.8v powered part and the magnetics centre taps are routed to the chip, it applies around 1.5v here, and it's pretty variable and unstable so i suspect it's just a single diode drop below the power rail

08:07 AM exp: i'm just going to stick a 1.5v ldo on the board and use a magjack with commuted centre taps as on the board they do this externally to some pulse magnetics
08:07 AM exp: afaik there's no worries about leakage or anything, it's just setting the operating point
