06:00 PM catphish: would someone be able to explain what (if anything) i need to do with the RESET pin on an megaAVR 0-series, for both programming, and general use?
06:01 PM catphish: it doesn't seem obvious to me what (if anything) this pin does by default
06:10 PM catphish: looks like i probably want to pull up both the UPDI and RESET lines, and likely only need to use UPDI for programming
06:14 PM Phantom: I don't know for that series, but normally the reset is held high during normal operation, by a resistor or hard wired to VCC. It have some special purpose while programming
06:17 PM catphish: thanks, i think that pin is a dual purpose gpio / reset on this device, but i don't need it so will pull it high with a resistor to be safe, it looks like programming can be initiated without using it
06:18 PM catphish: UPDI looks cool, i look forward to trying it out
06:23 PM exp: I've been using PDI
06:23 PM exp: tis neat
