10:20 AM exp: so this power supply i've been fighting with, i can't figure out what's going on with the battery charger control loop
10:21 AM exp: both SW1 and SW2 nodes are left to resonate, it's like it's turning on both sets of switches simultaneously
10:21 AM exp: and it rings for many times what the switching cycle should be, i do not get it
10:22 AM exp: i now have a 4 channel DSO but really i need 6 lol
04:33 PM exp: if anyone reads the above and wonders what it was, turns out my load was so light that the charger was slipping into a pulse skipping mode where it leaves the inductor free to resonate with the capacitance on its switching nodes
04:33 PM exp: which (this seems crazy low to me) in my case turns out to be about 2mhz
04:34 PM exp: can i be bothered to calculate all the parasitics and see if that's accurate tonight? no i cannot

04:50 PM exp: i guess, although my FETs are getting far too hot and i'm not sure why
04:50 PM exp: i'm running this at 800khz and i'm gonna swap them out for ones with higher R_ds but lower total gate charge
