06:24 PM Smashcat2: Just seen something weird on a chip - have a custom board I made that the client returned as they plugged some cables in incorrectly and sent 12V directly to the ATMega64A on the board. It all seemed ok until I changed a setting that stores to the EEPROM. It can write to the EEPROM ok - checked this by downloading the EEPROM using my IDE - but the chip itself cannot read the EEPROM :)
06:58 PM rue_mohr: the only advantage I ever saw on a PIC was that if you briefly feed it 12V, it often survives. Everything else about a PIC sucks.
