09:13 AM julius_: looks like most usb sticks get hot when being attached to long, what do you think about opening up a usb hub/cable and putting a transistor/mosfest to connect vcc with a software command (avr will be connected to the pc)

09:15 AM julius_: basically when you connect a usb stick by hand there has to be some way for the pc to handle the contact not being closed instantly so a transistor should close faster than a human could

09:18 AM m4t: a lot of the ones supported by the linux utility are out of production though :/
