06:58 AM LeoNerd: I generally avoid throughhole parts entirely these days. So much easier for PCB routing to not have it punch a hole right through the board and disturb both (or all four) copper layers
06:58 AM LeoNerd: I've got a board where I reluctantly had to use a 2N7000, because the surface mount 2N7002 version of it has 10x worse gate leakage
