01:50 AM Jhereg is now known as PoppaVic
01:56 AM PoppaVic: well that was a pain
01:56 AM PoppaVic: old lappy decided to snap at the power-plug, so I had to scramble to get my backup "updated" quick like bunny.
09:15 AM rue_mohr: huh, from ali, the tiny84 averages almost $4ea!
09:18 AM rue_mohr: about $3ea from dk
09:26 AM twnqx: any particular?
09:26 AM twnqx: and what $, US $?
09:27 AM twnqx: asking because tiny84a is <1€ at mouser, tyiy84a-20 <2€
09:27 AM twnqx: heh, they have that one as 4x4 BGA? :D
09:28 AM rue_mohr: cad
09:28 AM twnqx: ah
09:29 AM twnqx: still, very expensive (even if mouser prices are without tax)
09:29 AM rue_mohr: my diode/transistor trick for a self-decoding keyboard is cheaper
09:29 AM twnqx: though i recently learnt that digikey/mouser have to free shipping in the US, while they do have free express to europe >_>
09:30 AM twnqx: have no free shipping*
09:49 AM Smidge204: IC package matters a lot, too; If you're keen on saving a few pennies on a part, you might end up trading that for less convenient prototyping
09:50 AM twnqx: if you're prototyping with custom PCBs and reflow sodlering anyway it doesn't really matter
10:03 AM Smidge204: Right, but that's a bit more expensive than through-hole on perfboard. Hence, *might* :p
11:55 PM day_ is now known as day
