08:23 AM ville: howdy. trying to upload to an arduini micro i've some errors: https://ideone.com/5s6km7 any ideas what to look for?
08:23 AM ville: arduino
08:26 AM AndrevS: I have no experience with arduino specific, but as another stk500 variant, I would guess the speed is incorrect
08:28 AM AndrevS: try adding -b 57600
08:28 AM ville: alright let's see
08:29 AM ville: same problem with that specific rate, perhaps i just need to try finding a good one
08:30 AM AndrevS: Yeah, try some common speeds, like 19200 is used for some ISP boards
08:46 AM ville: hmm no nice so far
08:59 AM polprog: try 9600 or 115200
09:01 AM ville: tried those too. i'll give it a go some other night. don't have time to deal with it right now
11:40 AM rue_bed: I'v seen 4 speeds used by arduinos
11:41 AM rue_bed: I suggest putting the ide in verbose mode and finding out what speed their using on that one
11:41 AM rue_bed: 38400 too iirc
11:42 AM rue_bed: in my makefile I see
11:42 AM rue_bed: 115200
11:42 AM atk is now known as god
11:43 AM rue_bed: 57600
11:43 AM rue_bed: but I know there was another one
11:51 AM god is now known as atk
12:26 PM ville: so far no value seems to help. i've to check out what the arduino ide is doing i guess. never tried it. if it works through that perhaps it's verbose enough i can replicate what it does
12:33 PM LeoNerd: The micro is a 32U4 and uses the DFU scheme, not avr109
12:35 PM LeoNerd: I have a wrapper script for avrdude which pokes the serial port into doing its reboot magic for that to work. Avoids you needing to hit the reset button directly
12:39 PM ville: LeoNerd: i am very new to all this, so dfu scheme says very little to me. i gather i was perhaps supposed to do something along the lines: sttu --file=/dev/ttyACM1 speed 1200 possibly?
12:39 PM ville: stty
12:39 PM ville: LeoNerd: if you can post a link to a working script i can take a look at that would be good
12:44 PM LeoNerd: Well first off, does it work if you manually press the reset button?
01:37 PM ville: LeoNerd: it seems to reset it self so that part works at least.
01:40 PM ville: when i hit the reset button the led between the 32u4 and the usb port starts blinking faster for awhile. then after some seconds the tx led lights up for a moment and the yellow led starts blinking at a lower frequency
