10:20 AM ville: so before i procede to try to upload something with avrdude, how easy are these buggers to brick? i've an arduino micro which has an atmega32u4 on it
10:25 AM LeoNerd: If you don't touch the fuses, you'll always be able to reĆ¼pload something else using the same method you are using now
10:57 AM cehteh: almost always
10:58 AM LeoNerd: Oh?
10:58 AM * cehteh seen shit bricks .. brownouts when flashing, rarely brick sometihng, recently we has the case that even the chip signature was deleted
10:59 AM cehteh: and when isp flashing i thought ports are reset right after the flashing, but on the 328pb that doesnt seem always the case
11:00 AM cehteh: i sense end switches on some ports and here very rarely right after flashing that (portc) is fucked up, after reset it works
11:00 AM cehteh: on customer it happens more regulary
11:00 AM paulo_ is now known as Guest85221
11:02 AM cehteh: maybe a timing problem with the reset line, mhm can once trigger a reset by avrdude and nothing else?
05:03 PM ville: is there some sort of "hello world" program i can upload to the arduino micro and observe some response from it through the usb connection or otherwise? i don't have any kind of special purpose hardware yet
05:04 PM ville: just to confirm my connection and upload process works properly
05:05 PM ville: or maybe i'll go pick a resistor, led and a breadboard to get a blinking light
05:37 PM twnqx: blinkenlights are the embedded hello world :P
05:40 PM ville: twnqx: yep so far my googling seems to confirm that
05:45 PM cehteh: my micro scheduler has line echo/editing and blinking led somewere as example
05:46 PM cehteh: https://git.pipapo.org/?p=muos;a=blob;f=src/example.c;h=c18dad33d1bf8944acb722f152b7c33b1ea8d935;hb=refs/heads/example
