04:09 PM polprog: the sony casette player makes ratrling noises so i suspect is a mechanical problem. the case is beaten up a little, got it for free from my uncle long time ago... i know it makes sounds so the electronics are intact - it just cant rewind

04:11 PM polprog: also had an old rubber belt. replaced that and lubricated and voila. works awesome
