02:50 PM kline: well, if you don't have the datasheet then you're not going to get any kind of solid answer about what the LED can manage without failing
02:51 PM guanche: well it's an opto-interrupter that I got from an inkjet printer, it worked at 5V, and I can see 1.1V voltage drop across it
