05:11 AM eszett_: hi..
05:14 AM eszett_: Did I understand it right,in case my AVR is dead due to wrongly setting the the clock select fuses, I can use a second circuit, active the CLKOUT pin, connect that pin to XTAL1 of the dead AVR and it's revived again, right?
05:15 AM eszett_: That means, it would be smart to produce a PCB with outbreak TH-pads for both CLKOUT and XTAL1, so that I may conveniently put a jumper cable between both circuits, right?
05:24 AM nohit: any clock signal will do, it doesnt have to be CLKOUT
05:24 AM nohit: you can use regular IO pin
05:25 AM nohit: also consider joining #avrs its more active than this channel
05:27 AM eszett_: ah right..
05:27 AM eszett_: that means CLKOUT is pretty superfluos if I can use any regular IO pin
05:28 AM eszett_: I just write a short code snippet that pushes a IO Pin high and low to the rhythm of the AVR's clock, and use this signal to give it to the XTAL1 pin of the dead AVR
05:29 AM FManTropyx: hi
05:29 AM nohit: yes
05:29 AM eszett_: got it..
05:29 AM nohit: hi
06:39 AM MrFahrenheit: I need an smd voltage regulator but the only adjustable one I have is a large lm317 - considering using one of the fixed regs as an adjustable one, or using a voltage reference instead
08:44 AM rue_mohr: yup
10:09 AM unclenorton: test
10:10 AM unclenorton: anyone here?
10:11 AM nohit: yep
10:12 AM unclenorton: did you get my previous messages?
10:14 AM unclenorton: because i was getting #avr :Cannot send to nick/channe
10:17 AM nohit: its the +r because of the spam
10:17 AM nohit: but yeah we didnt get your messages
10:19 AM unclenorton: alright, i am switching a mosfet with pwm which switches an inductor which charges a high voltage capacitor, but when the mosfet turns on, the avr resets probably from the inductive spike which should be going into the capacitor
10:19 AM unclenorton: how can i fix that?
10:19 AM unclenorton: i meant when the mosfet turns off the avr resets
10:20 AM nohit: diode
10:20 AM unclenorton: where
10:20 AM unclenorton: i already have a diode backwards across the avrs vcc and gnd
10:20 AM unclenorton: 1n4007
10:21 AM unclenorton: and a 1n5404 from the inductor to the high voltage capacitor
10:21 AM unclenorton: but the avr still gets a high voltage spike apparently
10:21 AM nohit: https://i.stack.imgur.com/BULgz.png
10:21 AM unclenorton: yeah but when i have that then the capacitor wont charge
10:22 AM unclenorton: and even if i have it like that
10:22 AM unclenorton: the avr still resets
10:22 AM unclenorton: a 1n5404 like in the image you sent
10:23 AM unclenorton: i also have a 680uf capacitor on the avr's vcc
10:24 AM nohit: you should try #avrs they can help you
10:25 AM nohit: this channel is pretty much dead
10:25 AM unclenorton: Thanks, i'll try that
