03:19 AM polprog: what a funny looking TVS
03:23 AM polprog: https://puu.sh/A9vTG/2f04804f55.png
03:43 AM Emil: tvs?
03:44 AM Emil: Ah the diagram
03:45 AM Haohmaru: polprog illuminati confirmed
03:58 AM MrFahrenheit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRsOBFhNjVM
04:26 AM * Haohmaru drops a pic16f on the concrete floor..
04:26 AM LeoNerd: Best place for it ;)
04:27 AM * Haohmaru steps on it very hard with his big a$$ rough muddy boot
04:56 AM Jartza: rue_mohr: I use gavrasm these days
04:56 AM Jartza: avra was nice, but it's not being developed anymore
05:03 AM polprog: something something steady hand and a magnetized needle
05:05 AM Jartza: polprog: what's that diagram? learning finnish? :)
05:05 AM polprog: in my free time and when im bored
05:05 AM polprog: i skim through that boom
05:05 AM polprog: book*
05:09 AM Haohmaru: TOO LATE, u said "boom", NSA triggered
05:09 AM nuxil: good luck learning finnish.
05:09 AM nuxil: i know 1 sentance.. voi vittu :p
05:10 AM Haohmaru: learn icelandish next
05:13 AM polprog: lmao
05:13 AM nuxil: heh. try norwegian. we got 4 main dialects. "østnorsk/vestnorsk/trøndersk/nordnorsk" and each of these categories has subdialects
05:13 AM polprog: nice
05:14 AM nuxil: not so for people trying to learn the language.
05:15 AM nuxil: we also have 2 official writeing standards. "bokmål and nynorsk"
05:15 AM nuxil: kind of stupid
05:15 AM nuxil: i mean it really is.
05:16 AM polprog: ikea furniture intensifies
05:16 AM polprog: hyvää
05:17 AM grog_d is now known as grogjesus
05:28 AM nuxil: Jartza, whats the difference between gavrasm and gcc-avr ?
06:17 AM nohitzwork: syntax might be little different
06:19 AM nohitzwork: and the avr-gcc does those start up things for you, like setting the stack pointer
06:21 AM * Haohmaru gives nuxil an intel-hex editor
06:21 AM Haohmaru: there ya go
06:41 AM * polprog gives nuxil a butterfly
06:41 AM * Haohmaru sprays it with RAID
06:42 AM Haohmaru: polprog y u introduce bugs in nuxil's code?
06:42 AM polprog: great, you killed his editor
06:42 AM * polprog sprays Haohmaru with JBOD
06:43 AM * Haohmaru has umbrella
06:44 AM polprog: lol avira
06:44 AM polprog: damn, 2 hours of maths
06:44 AM polprog: and then home
06:45 AM polprog: im sleeping while standing now
06:45 AM polprog: tired as hell
06:45 AM Haohmaru: zombieprog
06:46 AM polprog: polprogd
06:56 AM Haohmaru: woohoo, my RAM has arrived \o/
07:11 AM Jartza: nuxil: syntax is different. for asm-only programs I like gavrasm more (which uses same syntax as atmel studio assembler uses)
07:12 AM Haohmaru: ah, so u'll suffer like zzz or whoever it was
07:12 AM Jartza: nuxil: also, scary thing is, I understand written norwegian somewhat
07:13 AM nuxil: bokmål is almost the same as dannish
07:22 AM nohitzwork: is norge similar to swedish
07:22 AM nohitzwork: do you under5stand swedish?
07:23 AM nohitzwork: i would assume it is since i watched new Beck the other and there were a norwegian actor
07:23 AM nohitzwork: +day
07:23 AM nohitzwork: same guy that is on game of thrones
07:27 AM nuxil: norwegian is much like dannish written. norgegian bokmål has its roots from denmark. i can read some sweedish. but much easyer to read dannish. but understanding dannish people speaking is hard. :p
07:28 AM nuxil: sweedish spoken is much easyer to understand than dannish.
07:29 AM polprog: thats kinda like polish and czech
07:29 AM nuxil: the dialect i have a hard time understanding is thouse who are from skåne in sweeden.
07:30 AM nuxil: even the sweeds them self have a hard time understanding it from what i hear :p
07:30 AM nohitzwork: swedish is actually the other official language in finland
07:31 AM nuxil: yea i know many learn it
07:31 AM nohitzwork: you have to learn it
07:31 AM nohitzwork: or you fail school
07:31 AM nuxil: oh.
07:32 AM Haohmaru: and you become a street gangsta
07:32 AM nuxil: pushing avr chips
07:32 AM nuxil: :p
07:32 AM Haohmaru: selling fake ftdi chips in the dark alleys
07:33 AM Haohmaru: grinding pic12Fs into fine powder, boiling it, and then injecting it in yer venes
07:34 AM Haohmaru: (however that's spelled)
07:35 AM nuxil: hey. atleast sell some quality shit :p
07:35 AM Haohmaru: no, just the cheapest trash
07:35 AM nuxil: pic-- wanna kill us :p
07:35 AM Haohmaru: hey, "it's good" (at first)
07:39 AM nuxil: time for another cup of coffee.
07:40 AM * Haohmaru prepares injection
07:41 AM Haohmaru: oh, you mean u gon drink it, sorry
07:47 AM polprog: heh
09:39 AM Haohmaru: "Setting this bit will increase the current in the 0.4MHz - 16MHz crystal oscillator and increase the swing on the XTAL2 pin."
09:39 AM Haohmaru: >:)
09:39 AM Haohmaru: MOAR JUICE
09:40 AM * Haohmaru enables the bit, the whole city goes dark
09:40 AM thardin: I use that option to drive my ADCs using the same clock as the CPU
09:40 AM Haohmaru: ah, u dirty cheatz0r
09:40 AM thardin: kinda handy to know exactly how many CPU a sample capture takes
09:41 AM thardin: would be even funnier if I could drive my motors with the CPU too, get the machanics synchronized to the ADCs
09:46 AM Haohmaru: crap, it seems that bit is not defined in le io header
09:50 AM nuxil: still no clue whats causing the random freez? except fingering on the crystal.?
09:50 AM Haohmaru: nah, i don't think i'll ever know what causes the issue in the field
09:51 AM nuxil: could it be a dip in the voltage? does the xmega got brownout detection reset you can enable?
09:51 AM Haohmaru: as for the issue with the xtal, one option is to switch to a different clock source via software (so, only a re-flash will be needed)
09:51 AM Haohmaru: i can get 16MHz from the internal 2MHz or 32MHz sources, with some PLL and prescalers
09:52 AM nuxil: yea.
09:52 AM Haohmaru: i tried that, the frequency is a bit off, but who cares
09:52 AM nuxil: if youre not doing time critical stuff that work fine
09:52 AM Haohmaru: most of my important communications are synchronous (USART, SPI)
09:52 AM Haohmaru: i do use some 19200bps UARTs tho
09:53 AM nuxil: i did some calcs when i was doing the fan tingy for my printer. with the +-10 tolerance there was over 1min gap from -10 to +10 in a 5min periode. thats bad. :p
09:55 AM Haohmaru: gotta fly, bbl
11:16 AM antto: hm, le ram appears to be not exactly as advertized >:/
12:44 PM polprog: this 600x seems to have a dead CPU card
12:45 PM polprog: shite. i thought i could slap some old HDD in it, install BSD (too small ram to run any linux lol) and use it as a dumb terminal
12:45 PM polprog: ill try with the toshiba satellite
12:48 PM polprog: FUCK FUCK FUCK
12:48 PM polprog: IM DUMB
12:48 PM polprog: FUCK ME
12:48 PM polprog: it was a bad ram stick
12:48 PM polprog: fuck
12:49 PM APic: lol
12:49 PM APic: Try Minix instead of BSD.
12:49 PM polprog: APic: i have a minix CD as well
12:49 PM antto: i doubled muh RAM.. 4GB \o/
12:51 PM polprog: a whole 64 megs (old die) and a whole 256 megs (new die)
12:51 PM polprog: now to test which one is dead
12:52 PM polprog: but first let me put it back together
12:52 PM polprog: fuck yeah. IBM
12:52 PM polprog: after the blast, only cockroaches, tek scopes and IBM laptops will be left
01:01 PM z9: hi
01:01 PM z9: is Tom_L arounnd?
01:04 PM antto: speaking of teh wolf
01:43 PM MrFahrenheit: eraserhead vibes https://imgur.com/gallery/fUaEWv8
03:15 PM thardin: aaaaaaa
03:17 PM polprog: damn bios on this 600x
03:17 PM polprog: beeps all the time and stops on every error
03:18 PM polprog: and i have a dead trackpoint so it doent want to boot unless i go into the builtin hex editor and disable the trackpoint...
03:18 PM polprog: so i ll just go and check if the toshiba i used when i was 6 has a serial port
03:19 PM polprog: and then think about who in this city might have a serial terminal to give away
04:15 PM MrFahrenheit: the germans finally repackaged and sent out my printer
04:15 PM MrFahrenheit: only took them 5 days
04:30 PM PsySc0rpi0n is now known as HelloShitty
08:49 PM grogjesus_r is now known as thereturnofgrogj
09:34 PM rue_mohr: you sent your printer to germany for repair?
10:39 PM z999: Tom_L you there?
10:40 PM z999: anybody know how to figure out duty cycle?
10:41 PM z999: in avr
11:21 PM day__ is now known as day
11:56 PM kini: In assembly code, you can write "rjmp foo" when foo is a label, and then the linker will fill in the correct address when it links. Is there a way to refer to labels like this in other contexts?
11:56 PM kini: For example, suppose I have label in program memory containing some constants which I want to load to registers with the LPM instruction at runtime, so I have to LDI the low and high bytes of the progmem address into the Z register. Is there a way to do this?
