[12:32:45] <Lambda_Aurigae> http://survivingtheworld.net/Lesson2345.html
[13:22:44] <hypermagic> hello my friends
[13:22:54] <hypermagic> relaxing ethereal music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5dU6serXkg
[14:19:39] <Jartza> hola
[19:21:30] <hypermagic> ROBOPLOW https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPg1ZMiC9pA
[19:38:31] <_methods> hah roboplow is awesome
[19:41:01] <Casper> if I had to make a robotplow, I'ld use a gazoline engine with hydraulic
[19:41:27] <Casper> battery ain't too suited for this job
[19:41:57] <Casper> too much power required, and batts at freezing temperature don't have lots of power
[19:43:41] <Casper> and I might have went with robotsnowblower instead
[19:44:01] <Casper> yeah, sound less cool, but way better at moving lots of snow
[19:45:21] <Casper> (yes, I do live where snow is common)
[19:45:40] <_methods> like this
[19:45:42] <_methods> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhXVTx78lXc
[19:47:37] <Casper> yes
[19:49:13] <Casper> but with multi-cameras
[19:49:24] <_methods> and machine guns
[19:49:25] <_methods> lol
[19:49:35] <Casper> I'ld probably use a water cooled engine
[19:49:54] <Casper> so I can redirect the heat to melt the snow off the camera lens
[19:49:55] <Casper> or
[19:50:06] <Casper> just use a good alternator and use electric heaters
[19:50:24] <_methods> flame throwers
[19:50:40] <_methods> jet engine
[19:50:48] <Casper> nahhh
[19:50:52] <_methods> hehe
[19:51:14] <Casper> but a 20hp engine would even be oversized
[19:51:43] <Casper> a 28" bucket with 8hp and self propulsion is already perfect
[19:52:09] <Casper> add weight and other hydraulic stuff, and 15hp would be perfect
[19:53:50] <hypermagic> darpa is buildinf Dune 2 light trike https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIzU4bU9DcA and terminators https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qCbCpMYAe4 to control the spice :)
[19:54:12] <hypermagic> Casper, A123 :)
[19:55:26] <Casper> hypermagic: LiFePO4, even if great, is unsuited for such projects
[19:56:25] <Casper> but really, best is to use gas engine... even diesel is a bit unsuited (small diesel engines are hard to start, or even impossible when it's cold)
[19:58:17] <hypermagic> when last time i checked they worked at minus
[19:58:31] <hypermagic> you just need to warm them up above 0 to charge
[20:00:48] <Casper> yeah, once you succeded to start it, it will run fine
[20:01:03] <Casper> but they can be very hard to start
[20:01:50] <Casper> due to that, I suggest a gasoline engine, it won't work enought to matter in the fuel cost, and the engine cost you save compensate for the slightly higher fuel cost
[20:02:12] <Casper> and you will most likelly never wear out the engine itself anyway
[20:35:24] <hypermagic> you can buy these as toys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVHd2_NUgIs what does this tell you ? ;)
[20:41:29] <hypermagic> FREAKY Robot! Phoenix Hexapod - Up Close, Questions & Answers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryO03bQk3m4
