skunkworks: one is the kernel line - the other sets things like force-turbo and some over clocking.. So maybe just do the kernel line one first...

change from processor.max_cstate=1 to processor.max_cstate=0
change from isolcpus=2,3 to isolcpus=1,2,3
add idle=poll
add quiet
