12:34 AM jpa-: mrec_: i've tried, it's rarely useful for me
12:49 AM mrec_: it's definitely improving, but not there yet.
12:49 AM mrec_: boilerplate code = 100% covered I feel
01:14 AM Deejay: moin
01:31 AM jpa-: mrec_: i find it sometimes has outdated versions of example code, so easier to just copy the boilerplate from official examples
01:40 AM mrec_: the advantage is just that AI pours everything together. We've had 100k accesses within a few days from openai seems like we'll all work for them in the background in terms of documentation
01:44 AM mrec_: in my eyes there should be a broader discussion about GPL based code, the AI systems are parsing them, learning the structures and present them again in another form. They are effectively monetising and help to monetise GPL code (which actually violates the license)
01:45 AM mrec_: GPL code cannot be closed source, but yanking it through an AI and monetising it afterwards is no problem; that's how it practically works today
01:50 AM jpa-: yeah, the AI copyright loophole is a big one
02:07 AM pere_ is now known as pere
