05:35 PM C5-Shop is now known as C3-Shop
06:41 PM * JT-Shop calls it a night
06:55 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> well.. My mom microwaved her cell phone
07:02 PM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.@> how did it taste/
07:10 PM xxcoder: I heard of those mean joke of "charging" iphone using microwave
07:12 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> she doesn't remember why she did it.. both her and my sister said - maybe it was wet?
07:13 PM Tom_L: did it survive?
07:13 PM Tom_L: or the microwave....
07:35 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> microwave did - phone didn't
07:36 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> needless to say - that was the only place she had her email setup for google.
07:36 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> had the password - but they wanted to verify that it was me by getting a code from the crispy phone
07:36 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> but - I just kept trying.. and finally it let me in - added a phone number and recovery email
07:37 PM xxcoder: whew
07:37 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> the sim card still works.
07:37 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> I threw it in an old pixel for now
07:45 PM xxcoder: reading freecad blog
07:45 PM xxcoder: pretty cool
07:46 PM xxcoder: seems they fixed trimming arcs and lines
10:34 PM lcnc-relay: <connor_9220@> xxcoder: Doing lots of stuff with CAM too. If got some PR’s in to fix some of the new tool library stuff. Trying to figure out the best way to handle tapping. G84/G74 was added. But it had some stuff missing.
10:35 PM xxcoder: thats cool :)
10:36 PM fluffywolf: which cad/cam program are you working on?
10:37 PM xxcoder: we are talking about freecad.
10:37 PM lcnc-relay: <connor_9220@> Lcnc is odd with tapping. G33.1 is unique.
10:38 PM lcnc-relay: <connor_9220@> Most other controllers use a command to engage synchronization and then use g84/g74
10:39 PM xxcoder: I wonder why lcnc dont use the more common gcodes
10:40 PM lcnc-relay: <connor_9220@> Dunno.
10:41 PM lcnc-relay: <connor_9220@> I’m trying to decide to add rigid tap and tap in the operation. Or just say tap and let the post processor flags toggle rigid or float.

11:08 PM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.@> "No doubt G33 is not widely used because we prefer to use a threading cycle (see G76) instead. But the flexibility and variety G33 gives us a threading cycle can’t."
