12:59 PM lcnc-relay: uh oh i cant download the post processors says the site hosted is down anybody have the mastercam post for mill?
01:16 PM JT-Shop: the wiki is a bit broken atm
02:47 PM Vq_ is now known as Vq
04:27 PM lcnc-relay: <pink_vampire@> daight420@: which one do you need?
04:28 PM lcnc-relay: <daight420@> pink_vampire@: mastercam mill
04:28 PM lcnc-relay: <daight420@> x9
04:32 PM lcnc-relay: <pink_vampire@> I think the one I found is for mastercam7
04:32 PM lcnc-relay: <pink_vampire@> https://www.forum.linuxcnc.org/media/kunena/attachments/22336/mx7-linuxcnc.pst.zip
04:37 PM lcnc-relay: <daight420@> its older vertion than i need but i can probably make that work thanks
05:12 PM lcnc-relay: <pink_vampire@> this is the only one I found. maybe way back machine have the wiki in working order
05:20 PM lcnc-relay: <andypugh@> LinuxCNC wiki? That's basically working, but for unknown reasons isn't serving https.
05:20 PM lcnc-relay: Try http://wiki.linuxcnc.org
05:43 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> Well.. there was an old hp rack that someone put shelving in... It is all aluminum... All of it
05:44 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> Wonder if 10baseT would make it down 2 pair phone cable...
05:47 PM rdtsc: if the pairs are twisted it should
05:48 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> It would be nice to have internet in the green polebuilding...
06:09 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> I guess I could probably do a point to point
06:23 PM * JT-Shop calls it a night
06:41 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> they put new cable in a probably about 20 years ago - Have to check it out
06:41 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> raining here
06:42 PM _unreal_: not raining for once
06:42 PM _unreal_: HERE
06:42 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> and now it looks like the sun is coming out
06:42 PM _unreal_: andypugh. wiki.linuxcnc.org working fine for me
06:46 PM BorgPipe: https://i.imgur.com/t7jBSSm.jpeg
06:48 PM _unreal_: BorgPipe, did you laser etch that?
06:48 PM _unreal_: if so do you have air assist in the machine that was used?
06:48 PM BorgPipe: just a fan blowing on workspace
06:54 PM _unreal_: BorgPipe, there is a reason I ask
06:54 PM _unreal_: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1ejmwQjHGskbBvob9
06:54 PM _unreal_: I built a direct air assist setup. and the quality improvement is massive
06:55 PM _unreal_: I use a micro brushless diaphragm medical air pump and it does an amazing job.
06:57 PM BorgPipe: lightburn is amazing
06:58 PM BorgPipe: makes everything fun and professional
06:59 PM _unreal_: I own lightburn but find my self using lasergrbl for laser etching, and lightburn for laser "CAD/CAM"
06:59 PM BorgPipe: its sofast and great i find it strange while not using it
07:00 PM _unreal_: ?
07:00 PM BorgPipe: nothing compares
07:00 PM BorgPipe: whitespace scan mode makes it sofast
07:00 PM BorgPipe: in device settings
07:00 PM BorgPipe: fast scan or whatever its called
07:20 PM Tom_L: fresh build: linuxcnc-uspace_2.9.5_amd64.deb 2025-09-06 16:20
07:20 PM Tom_L: http://buildbot2.highlab.com/debian/dists/bookworm/2.9-uspace/binary-amd64/
07:20 PM xxcoder: man smell that fresh build
07:21 PM Tom_L: paint is still wet
07:25 PM andypugh: No Trixie build from the buildbot yet. We need to retire the Jessie/Stretch/Wheezy ones and add a Trixie.
07:26 PM Tom_L: Yeah they're getting pretty dated. I do still have a wheezy mill running.
07:26 PM Tom_L: should update it but 'it works'
07:27 PM Tom_L: are those 3 the only ones on the old buildbot 1?
07:27 PM Tom_L: i know bookworm is on buildbot II but not sure what else
07:28 PM andypugh: lTS on Wheezy ended in 2018. ELTS in 2020. It’s now 15 years old.
07:29 PM Tom_L: did you get your mesa board situation fixed?
07:30 PM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.@> So just getting warmed up in Debian years
07:30 PM andypugh: BB1 currently has Stretch and Buster. It looks like Seb has turned off the others. (yesterday) http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/buildbot/builders
07:31 PM andypugh: Tom_L: I am not sure. It worked long enough to test the probing fix (that is in 2.9.5) but I haven’t had anything to mill for ages.
07:33 PM andypugh: It’s interesting that Blondihacks is finding any excuse to run her shaper. I have to agree that both lathes and shapers are somehow more fun to run than mills. Possibly it’s becaue they are more “human” beinf basically chisels.
07:40 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> oof - I just found a buriable network cable that comes into the polebuilding.. wtf does that go?
07:40 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> *where the fuck
07:41 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> we have not used our shaper in probably 20 years
07:42 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> I think about it.. It would make good youtube videos.. but I just don't have anything to do that seems like a good fit
07:44 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> (maybe that is my problem)
07:58 PM uffywolflf is now known as fluffywolf
08:44 PM xxcoder: quite good blondihack today
10:03 PM _unreal_: today I got my base built for my antique coffee grinder. designed and milled the board. next I need to laser etch the design that my daughter drew onto it. then put it into use
10:04 PM _unreal_: cant wait to get it mounted
