08:21 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> RotarySMP is on the forums
08:45 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
09:06 AM fluffywolf: since when were 3d touch probes $50? I looked a few years ago and they were all $$$$$. I guess I need to decide if it's new toy time...
09:07 AM fluffywolf: $68 one supposedly both accurate and repeatable to 0.01mm... that's 4 tenths... but chinese specs. lol
09:18 AM lfluffywof is now known as fluffywolf
09:43 AM fluffywolf: ah. more reading says they're all bullshit scams, that claim to be fancy sensors and such, but actually just look for a conductive path between the spindle end and the probe end. go china!
09:44 AM lcnc-relay: <zincboy_ca_on@> There are some slightly okay ones in the $300 range. Just make sure any that you get have the ability to adjust the concentricity of the probe.
09:44 AM jpa-: fluffywolf: https://www.amazon.ca/Version-Accuracy-Locator-Tungsten-Equipment/dp/B0BKGPWW99 these are ok enough
09:44 AM jpa-: but if you mount it by the 6mm shaft in ER collet, the adjustment doesn't really work as the runout will be different every time
09:46 AM jpa-: other than that they seem to meet their 0.01 mm repeatability spec
09:46 AM fluffywolf: does it work with an actual switch/sensor, rather than conductivity?
09:47 AM jpa-: yeah, it uses the normal 3 bars 6 balls mechanism
09:48 AM jpa-: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apNbxPZCWjA shows teardown
09:51 AM jpa-: i have one and i'm perfectly satisfied with the quality of the probe
09:52 AM fluffywolf: thankies. I was looking at the style that had leds on the body as well as a cord, and they apparently are conducitivty-based.
09:52 AM jpa-: but using it was annoying with ER collet because there is no real way to ensure the spindle shaft & collet & nut & probe are aligned the same way as they were when you zero the offset/runout
09:53 AM jpa-: i now did a hack where i mounted an ER nut on the probe, hopefully it bottoms out always in the same orientation.. but I haven't used it enough to know for sure
09:53 AM fluffywolf: a collet should be repeatable enough for my needs...
09:54 AM jpa-: i got around 0.05 mm runout from my vevor spindle as the probe head is quite far away from the collet (much farther than many of the endmills I use)
09:55 AM jpa-: but i admit the spindle, the collet and the nut are all of the "cheapest i found" quality level :)
09:55 AM fluffywolf: I'll probably be using it in a MT2 collet, reasonably close to the spindle.
09:55 AM jpa-: i mean, the probe itself is quite long, so it amplifies the runout
09:56 AM lcnc-relay: <zincboy_ca_on@> You could use an alignment collar to mate with a feature on the spindle. I have that on my machine for the spindle speeder and air spindle.
09:59 AM * JT-Shop just tossed out some left over parts from a thing I was making back in 2007
09:59 AM lcnc-relay: <zincboy_ca_on@> After calibration, I can get sub 1um repeatability and accuracy limited only by my ball screws when using a RMP60 probe.
10:01 AM jpa-: zincboy_ca_on@: how are you mounting the probe to spindle?
10:02 AM lcnc-relay: <zincboy_ca_on@> It is in a CAT40 tool holder. I have spindle orient so I can keep it in the same orientation.
10:03 AM jpa-: yeah, definitely a lot better than my cheapie ER collet :)
10:03 AM fluffywolf: bbl, time to head to work
10:03 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> https://photos.app.goo.gl/rS4cdu3CtYDKeyEUA
10:04 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> https://photos.app.goo.gl/5RQYsLycm5Z63Nt66
10:28 AM JT-Shop: looks big
10:28 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> iirc - I think it was 6 tons..
10:29 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> https://electronicsam.com/images/KandT/oldkandt.JPG
10:29 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> it is the y axis..
10:30 AM JT-Shop: not big but huge
10:37 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> did that make dad a millright?
10:37 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> lol
10:45 AM roycroft: it's a pretty big axis
10:46 AM roycroft: that is for sure
10:46 AM roycroft: and if not a millright, he's at least a quick tipper-upper
10:48 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> still my favorite machine to use
10:49 AM roycroft: there is smoke in the air today
10:49 AM roycroft: the first day this year where it's been strong
10:50 AM * roycroft wonders which fire it's from
10:50 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> the Y axis has 36 inches of movement.
10:51 AM roycroft: aqi is 59 right now
10:51 AM roycroft: so not too bad yet
10:52 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> around 53 here
10:53 AM rdtsc-w: mill-"right"? ;)
10:53 AM roycroft: he's being punny
10:53 AM rdtsc-w: got a case of the puns
10:54 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> forgot the W
10:54 AM roycroft: it was perfect as you first said it
10:54 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> lol
10:55 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> did you notice the hydraulic cylinder to pull the machine up?
10:55 AM roycroft: oh shit
10:55 AM roycroft: the fire is on aubrey mountain
10:56 AM roycroft: that is just outside of town - almost touching city limits
10:56 AM roycroft: it started last night, is human caused, and is 30 acres and 0% contained
10:56 AM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> yikes
10:58 AM roycroft: and it looks like it's on both sides of highway 58, so i'm sure that road is closed
10:58 AM roycroft: it is a *major* truck route from back east to the valley
10:58 AM roycroft: thousands of trucks/day
10:59 AM roycroft: i thought this wa ssmoke from one of the fires that's relatively far away
11:00 AM roycroft: and we have a heat advisory over the weekend
11:00 AM roycroft: that's not going to help with the fires at all
11:04 AM Tom_L: gonna be 3 digits here today
11:04 AM Tom_L: either scale you use... that's hot
11:07 AM roycroft: that fire would have to burn down pretty much the whole town before it got to my house
11:07 AM roycroft: and that's not going to happen
11:08 AM roycroft: but the air quality could be really bad for a while, and there will be a lot of extra firefighter traffic
11:08 AM roycroft: no truck traffic though
11:09 AM roycroft: and yup, i just went to tripcheck, and highway 58 is closed just outside of town
11:10 AM roycroft: all the way to the pass, but that's probably because there's no turn-around until there
11:11 AM roycroft: https://tripcheck.com/Content/PublishedFiles/100821.JPG
11:11 AM roycroft: that's from last night
11:11 AM roycroft: and it's about a mile east of town
11:13 AM roycroft: there are reports of rockslides and trees on the road, so even when the fire is contained the road may be closed for a while
11:14 AM roycroft: not to mention that if the road is blocked it's going to be more difficult to get firefighters in there
11:39 AM Tom_L: roycroft, are those generally started by human or weather?
11:50 AM Unterhaus_ is now known as Unterhausen
12:02 PM lcnc-relay: <big_kevin420@> or....human weather
12:02 PM lcnc-relay: <big_kevin420@> someone is the north west is testing out the weather dominator again
12:05 PM xxcoder: sat to tues is going to be "fun"
12:05 PM xxcoder: hot.
12:06 PM Tom_L: x you might wanna boot ajja
12:06 PM Tom_L: with a 'fix me' message
12:06 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +o by ChanServ
12:07 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to -o by ChanServ
12:08 PM xxcoder: if ajja does that again, next ones going to be a ban
12:09 PM roycroft: the helicopters are flying right over my house pretty steadily now
12:10 PM roycroft: the usually get their water from waldo lake, which is east of here just over the pass
12:10 PM Tom_L: they fly overhead here lookin for criminals
12:10 PM roycroft: i'm assuming that they're getting it from the reservoir to the west today
12:10 PM roycroft: they fly over here with big buckets of water
12:10 PM Tom_L: wonder how many fish get fried
12:11 PM roycroft: there are lot of fish in the reservoir - it's a very popular fishing spot
12:16 PM roycroft: ok, this is ridiculous
12:16 PM roycroft: i just watched a tv report on the fire
12:16 PM Rab: Tom_L, it's very stressful, particularly after bedtime...I'd almost prefer the criminals.
12:16 PM roycroft: they report that some eugene residents have evacuated out of an abundance of caution
12:16 PM roycroft: there is a zero percent chance that this fire will ever get to eugene
12:17 PM roycroft: and even if it were possible it would take days, if not weeks, to spread that far
12:18 PM roycroft: the winds are westerly, as is the prevailing state, and as such, even the smoke would not get to eugene for days at least, if it made it there at all
12:18 PM roycroft: aqi is 24 in eugene right now
12:18 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +o by ChanServ
12:19 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +b by xxcoder
12:19 PM roycroft: it's up to 106 here now, and it was 59 a half hour ago
12:19 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to -o by ChanServ
12:20 PM roycroft: and it's worse in the rest of town - in the 150s/160s north and east of here
12:20 PM xxcoder: 106 is definitely up there in unhealthy area. I would wear mask outside
12:20 PM roycroft: there's an lrapa monitoring station 2 blocks from my house
12:20 PM roycroft: i'm probably going to have to get a new furnace filter this weekend
12:21 PM roycroft: i just replaced it a month ago
12:21 PM roycroft: but it's pretty much a weekly thing when there is smoke like this
12:28 PM roycroft: xxcoder: if i'm just going out to my car or to run an errand i don't usually get too concerned unles the aqi is 150 or higher
12:29 PM roycroft: in the 75-150 range i wear a mask if i have to work outside, but i try not to work outside when it's that high
12:30 PM roycroft: but i expect it will it 150 at my house very soon - probably late this morning
12:30 PM xxcoder: my lungs is damaged which sucks. I would have to wear mask indoor above 80 or so
12:31 PM xxcoder: I was wearing masks inside work shop in 2018 and 2019 due to smokey hellscope season
12:31 PM xxcoder: otherwise I'd be constantly coughing
12:31 PM xxcoder: turns out it was great training for 2020
12:31 PM roycroft: ours is the only part of the state with unhealthy air quality right now
12:32 PM roycroft: it's dangerously bad in washington on part of the olympic penninsula
12:32 PM roycroft: there's a big fire at the north end of lake cushman
12:33 PM xxcoder: https://www.airnow.gov/national-maps/
12:33 PM roycroft: if the wind shifts a little smoke from that fire could get down to the south sound
12:34 PM xxcoder: wow only single spot in oregon
12:34 PM roycroft: that's us
12:34 PM roycroft: that big orange blurb
12:35 PM xxcoder: I'd joke about your place being doxxed, but you wasnt hiding your location lol
12:35 PM roycroft: we are right in the middle of the blurb
12:35 PM roycroft: i don't advertise my exact physical address, but i don't hide the general location where i live
12:36 PM xxcoder: same for me
12:37 PM roycroft: the local online paper said folks were sitting on 1st street (right downtown) and standing in parking lot of ray's market (right on 58, downtown) last night watching the flames
12:37 PM roycroft: that's too close to town
12:39 PM xxcoder: yeah I'd have left town. bad blow and its eating town
12:44 PM roycroft: my storage units are 1 block away from the evacuation zone
12:46 PM roycroft: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.7334589,-122.4428861,567m/data=!3m1!1e3!5m1!1e1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDgwNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
12:46 PM roycroft: storage units upper left
12:46 PM roycroft: fish hatchery road is the fire perimiter/evacuation zone
12:47 PM roycroft: perimeter
12:50 PM xxcoder: wow there is actual dunning road. is there kruger road crossing it anywhere? lol
12:54 PM roycroft: not here
01:01 PM xxcoder: lol ok
01:07 PM roycroft: people around here just climb to the peak of hubris and stay there
01:07 PM roycroft: it's the maga way, after all
02:29 PM xxcoder: jim lovell have left the space base
02:44 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> awww
02:47 PM roycroft: hopefully he's gone to sto'vo'kor
02:49 PM roycroft: the helicopters are flying over with increasing frequency
02:49 PM roycroft: i don't know if that's good or bad
02:49 PM roycroft: the fire has grown to 35 acres, though
02:50 PM roycroft: aqi is back down to 67 by my house
02:50 PM Tom_L: good you don't have our wind
03:08 PM xxcoder: I found another use for nice wolfbox air blower
03:08 PM xxcoder: it very easily clears the mesh covers on windows
03:09 PM xxcoder: its like air pressured hose, but with no hose and no tank. just sprayer
03:09 PM roycroft: the wind is coming tonight
03:09 PM roycroft: the prognosis for the fire is not good - heat wave starting tomorrow and high wind starting tonight
03:09 PM xxcoder: yeah that is going to suck
03:10 PM xxcoder: next 3 days is going to be hot here also.
03:10 PM roycroft: i'm assuming that the focus right now is in establishing a lower perimeter for the fire
03:10 PM Tom_L: 101F here
03:10 PM roycroft: it's very steep there, and the fire is going to travel straight up the mountains
03:10 PM xxcoder: it'd be perfect time to use space lasers, to carve a line to break fire
03:11 PM xxcoder: too bad they dont exist
03:11 PM roycroft: from what i can tell, it's barely on the south side of highway 58 at the moment, and i'd guess that firefighters are trying to extinguish that side before it starts climbing up the hill
03:11 PM roycroft: on the north side it's already well up
04:06 PM roycroft: and i can see the smoke from my driveway now
04:06 PM roycroft: so it must be moving farther up the mountain
04:09 PM Tom_L: 103F
04:12 PM roycroft: it's not going to get that hot here this weekend, but it will be hot
04:13 PM xxcoder: here its pretty reasonable cool, nearly 80f
04:13 PM xxcoder: but last day and next 3 is going to be not fun
04:13 PM firephoto__ is now known as firephoto_
05:56 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> 90 here
06:18 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> oppressive...
06:29 PM Tom_L: thought about getting another rpi5
06:29 PM Tom_L: probably don't need it
06:37 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> I have 4
06:38 PM Tom_L: you're not helping
06:38 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> lol
06:38 PM Tom_L: well i could leave one mounted to a pi board that way for testing
06:39 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> I am planning on mounting the rpi5 to the back of the monitor of the plasma
06:41 PM Tom_L: i can build debs on it and not notice a lag from my test pc
06:41 PM Tom_L: and i've cross compiled on it for amd64
06:42 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> it certainly has more power than the 4
06:42 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> for sure
07:17 PM roycroft: i have to go get something from one of my storage units
07:17 PM roycroft: i wonder if they'll let me go in there
07:17 PM roycroft: i think it will be ok - i think the road is closed one block away from it
07:18 PM roycroft: oh, highway 58 just partially opened again, with 2 hour delays
07:18 PM roycroft: that's good news
07:19 PM roycroft: unless there's a big queue of cars and trucks keeping me from getting to the storage unit
07:19 PM roycroft: even then it's good news, just not great news
07:35 PM roycroft: so much for that
07:35 PM roycroft: traffic was backed up to downtown
07:36 PM roycroft: which in this tiny town is not terribly far, but i did not want to sit for 20 minutes waiting to get to the unit
07:38 PM roycroft: i could no longer see the smoke from my driveway, but i could see it as i approached downtown
07:38 PM roycroft: we have a westerly wind that is picking up, which is probably why the visible smoke is gone and the aqi has improved
07:39 PM Tom_L: mesact spi is starting to take shape
07:39 PM roycroft: it's now a 2 hour dealy
07:39 PM roycroft: delay
07:39 PM roycroft: so i assume that it's single lane with a pilot car, and it's going very very slowly
07:40 PM roycroft: i just found in a box in my studio, btw, an amtel programming board that is brand new
07:40 PM roycroft: i remember buying it a long time ago for some arduino programming, but i don't think i ever used it
07:40 PM Tom_L: i have a jtag & pile of programmers for those
07:40 PM Tom_L: i used to make programmers
07:40 PM roycroft: if anyone wants/needs one let me know
07:41 PM Tom_L: i haven't had an avr out in quite a while
07:41 PM roycroft: iirc, and i did not look at it closely and don't remember super clearly, this thing is a jtag programmer and bob built into one board
07:41 PM roycroft: it has a ribbon cable that would fit on the shield pins of an arduino
07:41 PM roycroft: and a smaller ribbon cable for the jtag serial port
07:42 PM roycroft: and a usb port to connect it to a pc
07:43 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:443/~webpage/boards/USBTiny_Mkii/USBTinyMkII_Blue.jpg
07:44 PM roycroft: that seems to be the common type these days
07:45 PM roycroft: this one that i have is not in a case, and it's pretty big - more like an atx system board
07:45 PM Tom_L: i haven't done those in a while
07:45 PM Tom_L: the jtag i have is larger too
07:45 PM Tom_L: i'm not even sure where it is
07:45 PM roycroft: i also found my computer that i used to use to burn eproms
07:45 PM roycroft: it's in a big heavy tower case
07:45 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:443/~webpage/boards/USBTiny_Mkii/Boxes/blue3_batch.jpg
07:45 PM Tom_L: need one?
07:45 PM Tom_L: :)
07:46 PM roycroft: i486 running windows 95, with a proprietary eprom programmer board
07:46 PM roycroft: i don't think i do
07:46 PM roycroft: but thanks :)
07:46 PM roycroft: i'm in getting rid of stuff i don't need/use mode
07:46 PM roycroft: not collecting new stuff i don't need mode
07:47 PM Tom_L: i made a choice to give up messin with electronics over cnc
07:47 PM Tom_L: space and time constraints
07:54 PM Tom_L: i still have half a tray of those chips left though
08:09 PM roycroft: i'm doing the same kind of thing
08:10 PM roycroft: life is getting on, and while i don't see the end of it coming soon, i'm more aware that it's coming than i used to be, and i'm learning to be more selective in my interests, as i've become aware that i can't do everything
08:39 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> xxcoder@ thanks for the lithium info
08:39 PM xxcoder: np. curious about it also
08:40 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> Mom has memory problems but is still lucid...
08:41 PM xxcoder: I have memory issues too, been a long while for that. so I plan to try and see if my memory improves
08:41 PM roycroft: i've had memory problems for decades
08:41 PM roycroft: have i been pre-alzheimer's since my 20s?
08:42 PM roycroft: i do have some old lithium ion batteries that need to be recycled
08:42 PM xxcoder: lol
08:42 PM roycroft: perhaps i should cut them up and start eating them
08:42 PM roycroft: they're probably pretty chewy, but i can wash the chunks down with a swig of bleach
08:42 PM roycroft: take care of my memory problems and covid at the same time
08:43 PM * fluffywolf watches roycroft accidentally make meth
08:43 PM roycroft: i'm definitely in the right place for that kind of activity
08:43 PM xxcoder: poor roys teeth
08:43 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> Lithium used/is used as an antidepressant
08:43 PM roycroft: meth labs are the primary means of making a living in rural oregon
08:44 PM fluffywolf: looking at tools I definitely don't need... to go with a cheap 3d touch probe, there's cheap tool height sensors too now...
08:44 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> *used to be/is
08:44 PM roycroft: as well as rural many states, i should imagine
08:45 PM roycroft: i've never had a need for an auto bed probe for my 3d printer
08:45 PM fluffywolf: not needing to touch off after tool changes sounds awfully handy.
08:45 PM roycroft: mine's pretty easy to adjust, and it stays adjusted
08:45 PM fluffywolf: especially if you machined off whatever you touched off on last time
08:45 PM roycroft: i did get a cheap z-touch probe for my minirouter
08:45 PM roycroft: i haven't used it yet
08:45 PM roycroft: but it was <$20
08:46 PM roycroft: and it's basically a pcb with a metal coating on the top, ground to 1mm thick, with a wire attached
08:46 PM xxcoder: yeah? you found one that works for limited height on hh so thats how
08:46 PM fluffywolf: I'm eying https://www.amazon.com/BTER-Automatic-Normally-Accuracy-Engraving/dp/B09V5RNGS2
08:47 PM roycroft: https://www.ebay.com/itm/356880583113
08:47 PM roycroft: it was $17.95 when i bought it
08:47 PM roycroft: but that was in the new before times
08:47 PM xxcoder: interesting
08:47 PM roycroft: the pre-highest-tariffs-since-the-great-depression times
08:48 PM roycroft: it should do the job
08:48 PM fluffywolf: tires for my car double in price in the last two months.
08:48 PM fluffywolf: doubled
08:48 PM roycroft: lots of things have gone up
08:48 PM roycroft: but what bothers me most is that coffee just went up 17%
08:48 PM fluffywolf: (no US manufacturers of tires in my size... and tariffs...)
08:49 PM xxcoder: glad I dont need coffee lol
08:49 PM roycroft: and there is no reason on this planet or even in the entire universe for a tariff on coffee
08:49 PM xxcoder: though co2 tanks probably doubled in price
08:49 PM roycroft: we cannot grow it in the use, other than in a tiny area in hawaii and a tiny area in puerto rico
08:49 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> When milling circuit boards - I just setup a micro switch to do tool length
08:49 PM roycroft: the usa, rather
08:50 PM fluffywolf: roycroft: of course there's a reason... tariffs are regressive taxes, and republicans think progressive taxes are evil because they make rich people pay them instead of poor people.
08:50 PM roycroft: and dear leader has an iq that's half his age, and still does not understand that tariffs are paid for by the american people, not by the foreign exporter
08:51 PM fluffywolf: of course he understands it. see what I just said.
08:51 PM xxcoder: probably want to move on from politics
08:51 PM roycroft: he doesn't pay any taxes, so that does not matter to him
08:51 PM fluffywolf: it has nothing to do with boosting american manufacturing... it's to replace the government's revenue with regressive tax sources while lowering progressive taxes.
08:52 PM roycroft: yeah, this is not about politics
08:52 PM roycroft: it's about my being mad that coffee has gone up 17%
08:52 PM fluffywolf: i.e. help the rich and fuck the poor.
08:52 PM roycroft: while i try to be a decent person, i am definitely grumpy in the morning before i've had my cappuccino
08:53 PM roycroft: i'm aware of that, and tend to just be really quiet until the caffeine kicks in
08:53 PM roycroft: anyway
08:53 PM roycroft: that little coated pcb should work fine for doing z-touches
08:54 PM roycroft: and it's very low profile
08:54 PM xxcoder: yep. pretty nice. I dont think it was buyable when I was working on mini router
08:54 PM fluffywolf: but for a few bucks more you get a shiny machined part with armored cable, automatic chip clearing, multiple outputs,... lol
08:55 PM roycroft: i think that what i got will work fine
08:55 PM xxcoder: that one you linked to is way too tall, wolf
08:55 PM roycroft: and i think it's time to go make pizza
08:55 PM fluffywolf: too tall? it's 2.4"
08:56 PM roycroft: i don't know what the z travel is on the mini-router, but i bet it's <100mm
08:56 PM xxcoder: yup it is
08:56 PM fluffywolf: it's shorter than the vise
08:56 PM fluffywolf: and I have a chinese lathe/mill combo right now, not even a proper-sized machine.
08:56 PM roycroft: it's too tall for my machine
08:56 PM xxcoder: hint is "MINI router" ;)
08:56 PM roycroft: speaking of "mini"
08:56 PM fluffywolf: (plus my sherline, but I don't plan on shiny sensors for it)
08:56 PM roycroft: jd vance was a great "mini-dear leader" in this week's south park :)
08:57 PM roycroft: de plane, boss, de plane
08:57 PM roycroft: that's probably more the mini that he was rather than a mini-me type
08:57 PM roycroft: there was a love boat vibe going on
08:57 PM * fluffywolf has no idea what roycroft is saying
08:58 PM roycroft: anyway, it's time to toss some dough and slather it with red sauce and veggies and cheese
08:58 PM roycroft: (no anchovies this week)
08:59 PM xxcoder: not fancy meal for me today. just fries and some cheese fried stuff
08:59 PM fluffywolf: mmmm, anchovies.
08:59 PM fluffywolf: most pizza places here no longer have anchovies. I think there's only two left that have them.
09:02 PM fluffywolf: how can you make pizza without anchovies?! but most places don't have them at all.
09:05 PM fluffywolf: and it's impossible to get proper clam chowder here too. every single fucking restaurant has the white glop.
09:12 PM roycroft: the proper stuff
09:12 PM roycroft: that red stuff is atrocious
09:14 PM fluffywolf: heathen!
09:54 PM roycroft: see
09:54 PM roycroft: the red broth and the white broth people are on different chowder teams
09:54 PM roycroft: but they can still be at least somewhat civil towards each other
09:55 PM fluffywolf: lol
09:57 PM roycroft: could this be the beginning of a kum ba yah moment for our nation?
10:28 PM xxcoder: whew. chores done, and timely too. its barely starting to get dim
10:28 PM xxcoder: and next few days going to be too hot
11:29 PM lfluffywof is now known as fluffywolf
