12:48 AM xxcoder: wow. this is crazy. ads in jeeps. https://tech.slashdot.org/story/25/02/11/0016258/jeep-introduces-pop-up-ads-that-appear-every-time-you-stop?utm_source=rss1.0mainlinkanon&utm_medium=feed
02:00 AM lcnc-relay: <meisterdippel@> moin
02:05 AM Deejay: moin
02:22 AM lcnc-relay: <vibram@> hello
02:57 AM lcnc-relay: <onceloved.cn@> Does anyone know what the mascot is called?
03:12 AM lcnc-relay: <onceloved.cn@> I found it
03:17 AM lcnc-relay: <meisterdippel@> someone wants to write in the wiki 🙂
03:29 AM lcnc-relay: <onceloved.cn@> I want to save my experience
04:19 AM lcnc-relay: <meisterdippel@> I have ordered 2 TMC5160T Pro, I also want to play around with SPI
01:25 PM memleak: i wonder if those ads will make their way into rams and chryslers too
01:25 PM memleak: be kinda weird if it only hit jeeps
01:45 PM Rab: What a nightmare. The Sirius XM nagware was already bad enough.
02:11 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> I think the year is rapidly approaching that is going to be the limit for which I won't buy a newer car..
02:12 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> (it has already passed probably)
02:13 PM xxcoder: yeah, I dont want any car that come from company that thinks screen can replace controls for stuff like heat and stuff
02:13 PM xxcoder: let alone ones that show ads
03:24 PM memleak: for me there's not really any new car i'd want even with an endless budget
03:25 PM xxcoder: i'd get some kind of ev
03:25 PM memleak: so many things are switching to hybrids and evs, and i really don't want any of those
03:30 PM memleak: the mclaren p1 is the only hybrid i'd ever consider if money wasn't a problem lol
03:31 PM lcnc-relay: <meisterdippel@> https://youtube.com/shorts/UV3KBl6E2hw
03:35 PM Tom_L: cool
03:37 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
03:54 PM memleak: helps prevent fish tailing too
04:15 PM JT-Woodshop is now known as C3-Shop
06:43 PM xxcoder: giving my former work fan a deep clean lol
06:43 PM xxcoder: it was still so dirty from shop, coolant mist stick to it and it have tons of black dust on it
07:38 PM xxcoder: drying em now. whee it was hard work getting it off, even with water soak and soap
07:56 PM Tom_L: https://www.google.com/maps/@23.7010566,-91.2699841,5.87z?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDIwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
07:56 PM Tom_L: interesting map edit
07:57 PM xxcoder: politics.
07:58 PM xxcoder: solving actual problems? nah. renaming stuff? sure!
08:03 PM memleak: Tom_L, what am i looking at?
08:03 PM memleak: or for?
08:03 PM memleak: mexico is still mexico
08:03 PM memleak: i see cuba :)
08:04 PM Tom_L: bodies of water
08:06 PM memleak: gulf of america?
08:36 PM lcnc-relay: <tyrantelf@> renaming stuff keeps the outrage for unconsequential bullshit high while they do the actual stuff we shoud be worried about in the background
08:36 PM lcnc-relay: <tyrantelf@> * should
08:38 PM xxcoder: fan all reassembled and ready to do its duty!
08:43 PM xxcoder: love it when its a good fan. its been spinning for over thousand hours I would guess?
08:43 PM xxcoder: second cleaning today lol
08:43 PM xxcoder: I hate fans that die after a year
08:47 PM Au70: Anyone on that's familiar with EtherCAT and cia402? I'm strugglin to grok the docs
09:07 PM memleak: Au70, have you seen this? https://forum.linuxcnc.org/ethercat/45336-ethercat-installation-from-repositories-how-to-step-by-step
09:07 PM Au70: Lemme check
09:08 PM Au70: yep, that's how I got started, but I'll admit I haven't been thorugh all 39 pages of posts >_<
09:09 PM Au70: I'll keep digging there though, ty for pointing out the obvious
09:09 PM memleak: what part are you stuck on?
09:09 PM memleak: i've never used it but i've been a linux dev for almost 20 years
09:11 PM Au70: Ah, my issue feels pretty in-the-weeds. I have a Beckhoff EL7041 and am trying to configure a `.hal` file for it. In example .hal files I see the `cia402.0.statusword` getting mapped to something like `lcec.0.0.cia-statusword`, but when I look at pins for my drive I cannot find any `statusword` pins/variables
09:11 PM memleak: oof, yeah i know nothing about hal files
09:11 PM Au70: haha no worries, thanks anyway
09:11 PM memleak: or statusword lol
09:13 PM Au70: alright, gotta go, I'll keep digging through the forums in case I missed anything < 3
10:35 PM roycroft: brrrr - it's -2c already, and is forecast to get down to -8 tonight
