03:30 PM andypugh: The yellow on white for partially succesful builds is not the easiest to read. (I suppose that depends on client and colour scheme)
03:32 PM andypugh: For Wheezy et-al the success it just “not supported in 2.9” so not as succesful as it looks.
03:32 PM rmu: linuxcnc-build and linuxcnc-build2 are two different things it seems
03:33 PM andypugh: Yes, buildbot.linuxcnc.org is buildbot and http://buildbot2.highlab.com is buildbot2
03:34 PM JT-Shop: buildbot is the old one and buildbot2 builds newer os's
03:34 PM andypugh: The plan (I htink) was to retire buildbot and replace with buildbot2. But it’s all Seb’s and he seems to have disappeared.
03:35 PM JT-Shop: yup it's all in Seb's garage
03:35 PM andypugh: Seb set up buildbot2 when bookworm was the latest and greatest.
03:35 PM JT-Shop: I tried to build a buildbot with tom but was never 100% successful
03:36 PM rmu: also buildbot2 has better irc manners
03:36 PM andypugh: Yeah, it’s all a lot more work than I want to take on, but releasing to _our_ repository without it is rather painful.
03:37 PM andypugh: We could decide to just stop doing the ISO and our own repository, but then our releases are dependent on being accepted by Debian.
03:38 PM andypugh: linuxcnc-build: stop build 0000-checkin stuck
03:38 PM linuxcnc-build: no such builder '0000-checkin'
03:38 PM JT-Shop: I wonder if there is an easier way to build debs
03:38 PM rmu: it is back
03:38 PM andypugh: linuxcnc-build: stop build 0000 stuck
03:38 PM linuxcnc-build: no such builder '0000'
03:38 PM andypugh: linuxcnc-build: stop build 0000.checkin stuck
03:38 PM linuxcnc-build: build 11328 interrupted
03:41 PM andypugh: A few of the buildbot builders seem to be offline, so I suspect that buildbot can’t complete a build at the moment.
03:41 PM andypugh: http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/buildbot/builders
03:41 PM rmu: isn't it possible to use the github actions to build the .debs?
03:42 PM JT-Shop: sometimes the buildbot runs out of space
03:47 PM rmu: seems most of the "successful" builds on buildbot2 just fail on the platform support test and are stopped "immediately"
03:54 PM andypugh: Both branches have been broken for a while, so it’s not the buildbot’s fault that we haven’t seen any new debs for a while.
03:56 PM JT-Shop: hmm building debs is pretty easy with a script
03:58 PM andypugh: github actions would never build for RTAI, I am fairly sure. I don’t even know if they run with the preempt-rt kernel.
03:58 PM JT-Shop: I've not looked at github actions at all so clueless about that
04:06 PM rmu: yes building kernel modules could be a problem
04:09 PM rmu: but even that should not depend on kernel running and be possible
06:03 PM andypugh: I get the feeling that with three workers offline, builbot (the first) can’t do anything at the moment.
06:05 PM andypugh: buildbot (the second) looks OK, but I am not seeing new debs, for example bookworm: http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#/builders/11/builds/3551
06:06 PM andypugh: (debs should end up in http://buildbot2.highlab.com/debian/dists/
06:07 PM andypugh: I wish that I could do anything at all about this.
